Well, I don't know. Because of "muh orange man bad!" it started the gears moving with the displays of just how corrupt the tech world is - in particular social media. It literally spells it out just how far up each others asses media and government were.

The democrats own 99% of that. Some republicans tried but got ignored. Even Ro Khanna brought this to twitter's attention in some effort to curb it, but was also ignored.

By giving his older daughter (and her lengthy amount of experience at using daddy's money to start up jewelry and clothes lines), as well as her husband (and his experience at being the son of a criminal), roles in his administration, he basically showed that virtually anyone is capable of handling governmental work.

I know people who went to school with her.  Zero doubt she's smarter and more capable than 95% of people in govt (or at least in Congress).

And her hubby DID negotiate a "historic" peace deal, which is at least as much as most others who've had that job.

So maybe try again with a non-MSNBC take actually based in reality.

The Biden son that was going to carry on the political torch unfortunately untimely passed away.  Then you have Hunter, a fuck up.  Made to be the family bagman.  Sinks as low as fucking his dead brothers wife.  Ends up on a beach in Malibu painting modern art masterpieces for anonymous buyers raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars.  But those fuckng Trump kids.

If he wasn't a moron, CC wouldn't be able to understand him and then, the non-politician would just another one of those elitists whom he'd tone out regardless of what got said or done.

Florida may be a red state now, by slim margin, but Desantis crushed it in his re-election.

I think it's safe to say that the majority of Florida voters have a rather different opinion of Desantis than the left-wing media is trying to paint.

So blatantly obvious how most of the media, which leans left, organizes & aligns around daily talking points that if not directly from the DNC, comes indirectly via NYT and WaPo.

I always laugh at Fox News being "state-run media" which, while not entirely inaccurate, is one of few sources actually standing in the way of a state-run media, which would be mostly liberal and almost entirely Democrat.

If we were keeping an honest score the last 5-6 years, Fox has probably been quite a bit better than the rest even including Hannity and Carlson in that calc. A lot of the other media is mostly just a left-wing version of Hannity or Carlson, maybe with a little less shouting but just as much arrogance.

I obviously mean good luck with Trump going away. That won't happen.

Oh I don't disagree.  I think Desantis would not only win the general, but the popular vote (thought remains to be seen if he can tone-down the MAGA talk in the general).

But to your point, it will only take 1-2 other remotely decent candidates to take enough votes away from Desantis for Trump to win.  I would assume Trump is starting with, or will end-up at, 35% at least.  That doesn't leave much margin for error.

I'd take Desantis gladly over Trump or Biden.  The fact that two geriatric egomaniacs could contest the upcoming election is frightening.

Trump would be nearly 82 at the end of the next term.

Biden would be 86 at the end of the next term.

But hey, Ptown says they are both of sound mind, and anyone that says difference he wants to see their medical license.

Ptown was in major denial. Probably around and interacted with demented people, but was never actually a primary caretaker of somebody suffering under that auspice. It's not a leap of thought, or a negative projection, when somebody is shaking hands with invisible people or can't make a decision to go left or right when exiting a stage, slurring and mumbling, forget what they were saying halfway through a sentence, sudden agitation, etc.
There were a lot of "vote blue no matter who" types that have since come around and now recognize what the problem is. But they will still vote for Biden again, because at least he's not crass and rude, right?

I personally think that there should be an age limit to running for President. If there is an age requirement to run for that office, there should be an age limit to prohibit running for that office. Sixty eight seems like a reasonable number for that.

I like the idea of fighting back against DEI and ESG. But how would (or could) it be done? A flurry of executive orders? Those have been overdone to the point of being meaningless and quickly ignored and reversed, as we have seen in the past two administrations.

Gotta be a pretty big scumbag to fight against DEI
