lol, that was too easy to put CC in a pickle.

He kinda laws are laws'd himself into a corner. I know what his answer is going to be, and it's the correct one, but it definitely makes him a hypocrite.

I am sure we can dig up some posts of yours in the gun thread discussing the same exact scenario.  Just admit your logic isfaulty at best and move on.

Do you agree with the sharp rise in felony charges levied by the state of New York after the SAFE Act became law? Remember, there is no grey area.

It's good that no matter how divided we are as a people, we all can join together to laugh at CC's attempts at logic and reasoning.

The fact that CC is allowed to pass down his "logic and reasoning" to young minds on a daily basis is equal to or worse than a felonious crime.

Don’t worry, his logic and reasoning is being applied to kickball and dodgeball.

Lets pray to whoever that he isn’t a government teacher.

Maybe we need to get OC on a mass scale...

Unfortunately, there are probably plenty of CCs who teach civics, math, history, science, etc.

sure......the state of New york is using states rights to levy those penalties based on what laws they passed.  I dont have to agree or disagree with them...I dont live in NY and never will.  that is what is great about our system of government.....if you dont like what a certain state is doing then dont live there

Ok, so those that don't comply potentially deserve prison time for just owning a thing. Especially those that can't just pack up and leave for whatever reason.

The irony here is delicious.  It appears to be you that cannot answer hypotheticals.  Hypotheticals don't have to be probable ... or even possible, for that matter.  That's why we frame them as hypotheticals.

I'm so glad I found this thread.

Someone who is incapable of answering hypotheticals is a poor planner and strategist.  Anything that requires preparing for something that isn't yet present involves hypotheticals.

Also, someone who is incapable of answering hypotheticals, but then calls out someone else for not answering hypotheticals, is a hypocrite.

The problem with calling yourself a left-brain analytical person is that you seem to struggle with abstracts and their possibilities in the "real world."  Left-brain people tend to be very good at dealing in hypotheticals, because abstracts can be applied to hypotheticals just as well as they can be applied to real-world examples.

However, to placate you, let's use a real-world example.  Support government eventually made it illegal to criticize the government, no matter what it did.  Suppose it also banned the ownership of firearms outright.  Those both have indeed happened various times in history, so they're not impossible hypotheticals.

OUGHT a person be vilified morally for breaking those laws?

If you say yes, you're an actual advocate for fascism.  If not, then you don't actually believe "the law is the law."  You believe in subjective, arbitrary application of the law.

Unrelated, but why can't I respond to your Infowars thread?  There's something screwy going on with that thread.

Maybe this is just partisan grandstanding making a big deal about nothing, but I don't know.  The comment from Nunes, whom I don't think is particularly credible or trustworthy, about Ohr becoming very important is interesting.

While it's obvious many people readily believe, or want to believe, that Trump colluded despite no real evidence as of yet....I'd expect high-level DOJ people to know better.  I was suspicious of how this all got started, and I've said several times I didn't think it possible both to have no evidence on Trump and NOT be a politically motivated effort to undermine his Presidency.

But when you read this article from TheHill, it's hard not to consider the possibility there might actually have been a corrupt conspiracy at the highest levels of the Obama DOJ.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/devin-nunes-says-pay-close-attention-top-obama-doj-official-bruce-ohr-will-become-more-and-more-important

Maybe this is fake news - not a peep from any of the liberal media.  Certainly Nunes' comments would have registered at least a mention, right?  All the rumors and inaccuracies they've jumped all over, but the #4 DOJ backchanneling to a fired and discredited source is not newsworthy?
