I'm obviously a pretty ardent critic of Trump, but this sounds like tremendous news.

I'll believe it when I see it, but if they follow through this is great news.  I wish we could watch our liberal neocons (aka 95% of them) react to this, but the story has already been buried.

I give Trump credit for this. What a debacle Afghanistan and Iraq were.

Did he drop off a pallet of money to get the deal done?

Easy - they'll say it's a bad deal that Trump rammed thru needing a win in an election year.

I'm still laughing at the media talking about how unprepared for CV19 we are because of Trump.  It's pretty hard to have less credibility than Trump, but the Dems and their media have pulled it off.

Agreed.  He rightly gets credit for this.

One on hand I could easily say the media has lost its mind; on the other hand it is probably more of a case that they think they can assist in the panic and attempt to tank the economy, improving the chances for a Trump opponent.

Does the Big Bad Media have a conference call each day to make sure everyone is on the same page to decide which steps they need to all take in lockstep that day to further the world's ruination?

Surely sounds like it.

NYT prints the talking points every day.  The coordination isn't at all hard to see for anyone paying a remote bit of attention - they.....talk....about.....the.....same....stories.....with.....the....same....language/words.

I think it's all of that.  They can't lose on this topic.  There's the potential economic impact you mention.  But then if there's no outbreak, you can't really say they were wrong about being unprepared (eventhough the US took early steps to get people out of China and restrict travel).  And of course if there is an outbreak, even if it's somewhat inevitable, well....because Trump.
