Maybe meteor strikes? One just crashed through a house a few days ago.
When I was a kid, I remember being awake in the early morning, happened to see a beam of green light come from the sky. I suppose the rational explanation was I was actually dreaming, but I swear I wasn't. Although if I had really seen that while I was awake, it might have freaked me out (or at least enough to go to the window to investigate).
posted by BR1986FBHave no clue what this was, and maybe I don't want to, but at 4:40am last Tuesday morning (I know the exact time because that's when I wake up), I heard a sonic boom that shook my house. Having a train track about 100 yards from my house I just brushed it off to a train making one of it's loud noises.
Today, my fiance is talking to her mom and her mom asks "did you hear those two loud booms the other morning?" Her mom proceeds to tell her that one of the houses on her block (next block up) has cameras in their back yard as this town is infested with thieves. This camera took video of two white lights bearing down on it from the sky and then just exploding with said "booms." Apparently it set off car & house alarms a street over.
No clue what this could've been. Thoughts?

At the end of the day, whatever "standards" those places may have had took a back seat to collecting a paycheck. If we could investigate, I'd think you'd find some things similar to Fox and Tucker Carlson where internally they knew it was bullshit, but they went with ratings anyway. The only other conclusion is they're just grossly negligent and incompetent.

On the other hand, the NY Post did release the Hunter Biden laptop story, only to be censored and banned. It's not really a wonder that people scoff at the very idea of that company, we've all been conditioned to do exactly that.

Feel free to read the actual Durham report. Hard to believe such a criminal conspiracy could occur between one political party and supposedly apolitical federal agencies, but of course they had the full arsenal of the major media behind their operation. Bizarro world again. I see a lot of people citing MSNBC and other sources that this is a nothingburger and doesn't change anything. But that sort of cognitive dissonance is required.
But Tapper is something else. He was one of the big offenders in Russia collusion, and now he's being lauded for his "objective" take. I think the truth is, like most of these clowns, he's just Ron Burgundy reading the prompter. And this is a new and feeble attempt by CNN to regain credibility - zero doubts if Trump was still POTUS and Zucker was still running CNN that Tapper is saying something very different today.
