Long read, but worth it.

I read that yesterday. You're right it is a good read. I think it draws a fair comparison to the two events, also. And it also shows that, with every generation there is the same big media misguidance that happens.

By the way, is the most concerning/alarming thing in all this coverage the former Obama officials who made the rounds telling blatant lies unopposed?

You have a former CIA director saying he KNOWS there is evidence....in order to deliberately undermine a sitting POTUS.  It's mind blowing.

Shocking, and soon to be revealed is the extent of the spying, colluding, lying, and complete abuse of power.  Keep the popcorn nearby.

I doubt we will ever know. Accusations will be made, yes. They've been made all along and guess what? Nothing ever comes of it.

Something like this, everyone just gets up there and pleads the 5th.  Congress is completely impotent in its ability to uncover corruption or cover-ups.  You have to have a special prosecutor, but both sides generally avoid it if at all possible because there clearly are too many abuses on both sides.....and god forbid if special prosecutors become the norm we might actually clean-up Washington.

I think the #1 reason Congress is afraid of special prosecutors is maybe as many as half of them have used their office to enrich themselves.  Heck, it's probably almost 100% but some abuse it much more than others.

There has never been (and hopefully never will be) a time when we needed a special prosecutor more …….we absolutely have to investigate the entire genesis of the Russia hoax, and all the abuses and the cover up, and the high-ranking officials who severely tarnished this nation must be put away.

Kind of off topic, and maybe every network is guilty of this, but ever notice on CNN EVERYTHING is breaking news. I swear you could turn on CNN at any point of the day and there's a 75% chance something is breaking news. Hell I turned it on just now and the headline is "BREAKING NEWS: State attorney to speak out against Smollett case"

Fake news outlets ratings fall about 90% Monday after Trump is vindicated.  Seems people didn't like fake news

This is not unique to CNN......all of the news outlets lead with 'Breaking News'.  Even the local Columbus NBC, CBS and ABC affiliates.

As S&L stated, it is to get people to watch.  Soon, it will be the boy who cried wolf (Blitzer).

Wolf is probably the best "breaking news" media person.  When he says those words I think he truely believes it.

Did you expect the headline to read “Media and deep state failed to bring down Trump”?

The  money line to come out of the report is going to be "over 100 contacts with Russia....[and Wikileaks]".  Throwing text messages with Wikileaks in there probably increased the hit count significantly.  I didn't bother to look if details were provided if those were mutual connections, or unreturned and unsolicited attempts from Russia.

Otherwise, I'm not sure that's a large number of contacts.  A Presidential campaign is going to have a mix of long-time political insiders, maybe with a mix of people from global corporations.  I'd expect a fair number of perfectly legitimate contacts with Russia, China, Middle East, etc...I guarantee Hillary, Podesta and Abedin probably rack-up a pretty impressive hit count there themselves.

Oh but wait.....under Obama we are supposed to be a "global" community and our economy depends on foreign contact.....cant have it both ways.  All of a sudden things like speaking to Russia is a bad thing (when Obama called them the "JV" teams)  So contacts with Russia is only bad if you are Trump....ok got it.

Media meltdown is putting Chernobyl to shame.  Hilarious; they just don’t get it, and obviously NEVER will.

It's being pushed as the "evidence" falling just short of reasonable doubt.  I don't really know how it should be properly characterized, but it seems to me if you are going to have foreign policy advisors those people, if they have any experience at all, are going to have a number of Russian contacts (and/or Chinese, etc...).

The only one that stood out to me as potentially unusual is Stone, but I'd suspect most of his contacts were tweets/texts to Wikileaks.  And has been pointed out, a bunch in the media were doing the same thing.

Filler, before the indictments of Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Brennan, Clapper, Rice, Yates, Simpson, Ohr, Ohr et.al. come out and we move toward real justice.

So, while Notre Dame was burning, I was at the gym.  Fox News was covering that epic event, while CNN paraded a series of Trump bashers...one after the other......offering that they all believe that Trump was guilty.  90 minutes of this.

Stark contrast, even though I don't think either is a 'news network'.  Both offer opinion as fact and therefore, IMHO, disqualify themselves as news networks.  CNN is just worse because they never try to hide their agenda.
