I like Musk. Besides being a big idea person - eccentric but brilliant, he pisses off the extremists in both sides.  During Obama’s presidency, I heard a lot of right wingers disparage him as a fraud who only took advantage of government handouts.  Left wingers thought he was a savior for moving us into electric cars and solar panel roofing. Now left wingers are aghast that he’s stepped into the middle of their woke revolution and is threatening to promote free speech by all.  Right wingers act as though he’s a savior for standing up against the woke mob.

Being that he has pissed off these vocal minorities, I’m glad he’s around.

Maybe he could apply his unique thinking to our healthcare system.

The funny thing is, a "disinformation czar" seems entirely redundant with the job Jen Psaki already does.

Even assuming they don't care about her history of promoting blatantly partisan misinformation, you'd think they would have factored the optics into their choice.  Seems like the Biden version of "hiring the best people".

So, the release of the twitter files have so far proven what conservatives have been saying for years and were downplayed as tin foil hat shit.  Keep in mind this is just Twitter.  There is 0 doubt in my mind this happens across all social media platforms AND the mainstream media.

I would expect Facebook was far worse than Twitter.  Probably Google, too.  I feel like they have a much bigger reach than Twitter, and do more to filter the news people see.

The Twitter Files are indeed revealing exactly what most of us knew was occurring all along.  It is breathtakingly anti-American and no doubt criminal.  Hopefully the executives will be arrested and pay a steep price.  Add in the billions of dollars in value of the unreported in-kind political donations on top of the other abuses and many people need to be heading to prison.  Stunning, but not stunning revelations. 

PS --- and you're exactly correct that the same criminal collusion was occurring at Facebook, Google, Instagram, YouTube etc..etc..

There are plenty of places to go to hear whatever political stance you want to hear.  This story makes it sound like Twitter is the gatekeeper for all information.  Anyone who wants to read about Hunter Biden and his laptop, for example, has many outlets to go to to do that very thing.  

It's the criminal collusion with government officials and a political party for the purpose of influencing a national election, i.e. election interference involving the government.  Hope that helps.

They didn't, don't, and never will have enough influence to GAF about, Hope this helps.

A survey indicated that 17% of biden voters in 7 swing states would have changed their vote had they been aware of the laptop evidence and other suppressed and censored stories.  It's wasn't just twitter, it was/is all the major platforms in concert with the media.  

The latest TwitterFiles drop is really something. 

One of the bigger problems that old twitter employees might face is that their direct actions, or rather inactions, involving child trafficking might very well be legally actionable. 

Jack Dorsey has already come out and is taking responsibility for everything, but that might be too late. Also, the history of Yoel Roth makes me question if they ever vetted the people they put in charge of everything. Not to mention violating their own TOS, purposely allowing doxxing of political "adversaries" which put people at risk and refused to take down. Oh and there's that little thing when survivors of child trafficking repeatedly asked to take down material that personally exploited them only to be ignored, allowing millions of views to continue.

Old twitter execs have a lot to account for, in my opinion. As far as election interference goes, I don't think that should be their biggest worry. Taking into account their wretchedness in allowing child trafficking to occur without taking down reported abuses should be.
Imagine, all the time, discussions and efforts into repeatedly banning Libs of TikTok while allowing raw trafficking material to stay up. Just a blender full of vileness.

On a side note: several media personalities, Keith Olbermann being one of them, have had their accounts suspended for doxxing Musk's jet location, even though they knew it was PIA. Jack Sweeney is the guy who knew it was PIA, was putting that information out anyway and they all retweeted it. So now they are all acting as if their skin is melting off.
