Jd Vance thinks that it takes a six year degree to work at a daycare.

Same, I grew up around all my great uncles/aunts and second cousins on my dad’s side and all my similar family in my moms.

Christmas was 50+ at great grandmas house.

Not withstanding  the  fact that he doesn’t understand how tariffs. This answer is hilarious. I can’t believe this is a serious candidate.

No way to call out that rambling yet defend Harris’ word salads and fake accents as just “code switching”

I am willing to admit that was a bad word salad by Trump, will you admit Harris is as bad or worse at that BS?

When my wife got her degree in ECD 24 years ago you could hire anyone who would pass a background check and learn basic first aid to babysit at a day care.

She got a 2 year associates and that was needed to run a day care back then.

None of that is true anymore. Did Vance use hyperbole to make a point about a 6 year? Sure but to believe the requirements to babysit a 2 year old at a daycare hasn’t gotten nuts is also asinine.

Even the next level, K-3, if anyone can explain to me why eventfully, due to continuing eduction requirements, a kindergarten teacher is required to get a MS, so 6 years of school to teach sight words, add 2+4, etc?

I’m fine with reducing requirements but that isn’t why daycare is som expensive imo.

Tell me you don't know what it takes to become a child care specialist without telling me you don't know what it is. It's an expensive education to get for a BA and MA.

I personally don't think any state should require that it anything akin to that. I don't know if any state actually does and that is where Vance mucks up. If he's going to throw that out there then he should be naming one or two states that require it to back that up. Also, it doesn't take that sort of degree to daycare.

I don't want govt to be handling daycare affairs. At all. When the education system is already infested with activists, that's the last fucking thing we need.

Trump has a 4 year record that proves he can do the job better than anyone has since Reagan, and obviously better than the moronic Marxist that was selected to be the (former) democrat party candidate.  That's all anyone needs to know.

I meant to say this the other night when the fake accent was brought up but got sidetracked. So I'll say it now.

1.) Kamala is less nasally when she fakes an accent, so I don't care.

2.) What bothered me was the fact that she was gaslighting a blue collar industry audience when if it was up to her she would finish wiping out blue collar industry completely today.

3.) I'm surprised and disappointed that nobody (unions) called her out on that shittery.

Well, Walz also hasn't talked to his brother in 8 years.  So seems like he doesn't get along with anyone, really, in his family.

Unless it’s some serious drug addiction or something that Walz has given all he has to help him multiple times and brother just keeps going back down that road….

But to me not speaking to your brother in 8 years just sounds like a fucking stubborn pissing contest gone bad. Grow up, take a high road.

I don’t know any high quality human beings that don’t talk to their immediate familiy

I get it. All families have big disagreements but outside of some gruesome felony….maybe multiple I can’t fathom it honestly.

Work,  not “teach” since they are called teachers now instead of babysitters.

Oh, and daycare has ALWAYS been expensive. When we had our 2nd kid, 21 years ago, my wife was a full time employee AT THE DAYCARE, and even with her discount she would only bring home about $50/wk with paying for 2 kids at daycare.

This isn’t a new problem, that’s why she quit and became a SAHM for the next decade.

Work, not be a teacher/babysitter at a daycare. There are plenty of other workers.

I grew up with my first cousins. Still close with all of my aunts and uncles and cousins.   Never have met my great uncles or aunts though.  Only one is nearby though  and he was a late in life baby (19 years younger than my grandpa) so I’m assuming they never had much of a relationship since my grandpa was in the army and out of the house by time his brother was born.   But yeah … never met him or his family. As far as I know, there’s no animosity that’s lead to it either.
