Fuck Manchin.

The bigger problem I see with the Republicans is Trump will be going to court in May 2024, he’s gonna light up his supporters which will probably win him the primary, but he has almost no chance in the general.

Ramaswamy is a douche.  Don't try to do comedy when you're not funny.

DeSantis is sounding very good.  Nikki seems like the most professional.

Pence is the bigger of the douches on stage.

At the end of this,  the ranking sill fall:

1.  DeSantis

2. Haley

3.  Christie

4.  Vivek

The rest don’t matter after to ight

Christie is good, he just has no chance.  Vivek needs to finish his VP audition and drop out before any votes are cast.

I like Tim Scott.

I've seen one yard sign so far and it was for Vivek, just a bit up the street from us. That douche is my top choice, as well.

LOL, non-Fox media just falling over themselves to bury Desantis, again.

He probably needed to be better, but he did pretty well.  Although, yeah, I caught the awkard forced smiles, as well.

I like DeSantis a lot, I just wish he had more charisma. The amount of hate he gets is laughable, likely because he's a Republican with an effective governing style that they don't want to see replicated.

I haven't watched the debate yet, I'll get around to it at some point.

Problem is, one shouldn't try to fake charisma (cough cough Kamala cough cough).  Desantis should just be himself and stick with policy and his record, because it's really good.

One of the things that stood out was how absolutely empty Pence and Christie's answers were, Haley in many cases as well.  Just platitudes and politically speak and little substance.

And Vivek was an absolute clown.

I don't disagree.

I kind of liked Vivek until I actually did research on him and some of his stances. Nothing quite like a dude looking at how young voters tend to not lean R and coming to the decision that the best solution to that is to make it tougher for the 18-25 demo to actually vote (what was it...either serve in the military or take the same citizenship test that immigrants are supposed to in order to become Americans?). Also known as the coward's way out -- "No, the problem isn't that our policies aren't connecting with young people...it's that they CAN vote!!!"

But he did a good job of putting on Stephen Miller face to audition for VP

Seriously, though, the fact that he scored as well as he did tells you substance and ideas matter nil to many voters.

LOL, wtf Trump?!?

Goes to a non-union auto supplier, where apparently some supporters held fake UAW signs.  And only drew like 500 people.  Who thought that was a good idea?

Meanwhile, Biden spent all of 12 minutes with a striking UAW group.

We really do deserve better - but we get who we vote for!

I'm not a fan of unions. But both parties still engage in making promises to them and then give them nothing. Hell, the Dems just did a strike bust not long ago.

I mean...

So McCarthy is the first speaker, ever, to be removed.

Nice job, Republicans.  Oh well, I guess the Senate still looks good for blocking total Dem control.

Did they name who they were going to vote in?

No idea, although apparently McCarthy is saying he won't run again.

I'm not sure the Democrats are actually hoping to flip some Republicans to take control.  I get the politics angle, but you can't exactly point fingers at Republicans when you voted for this chaos, too.

That the state of politics today, and the danger of partisanship, that with these super narrow majorities partisanship allows the radical wing of either party to cause problems.
