I think people are expecting Biden to serve a full 4 years. I don't think most people are thinking he will not serve the full 4 years. As I've said on here, I don't buy the mental issues.

That's you.  There are plenty of people, on both sides, that have questions.  You may not "buy" the mental issues, but surely you can't dismiss the validity of the question.

He's going to have to perform.  He's not going to win the election from his basement.  If he has any senior moments at major events it's going to matter.

Campaign ads are already out.  Biden will need to prove his mental fitness, because the Trump campaign will make it an issue.

And the fact is they could have voted for Hillary in 2016 and it wouldn't have changed the outcome.

and my point is that voters are fluid and can flip parties between elections. it is of my opinion that trump is going to lose those "in flux" voters who don't just blindly vote down party lines (like third party voters).

are you understanding yet?

But will they want to vote for Kamala?  She did well in the first debate or two, then fell like a rock after people got to know her better.  And that's Dem primary voters that she's supposed to help energize when enthusiasm for Biden is already low.

She is a radical leftist - voted with Bernie over 90% of the time; has zero bipartisan legislative achievements, comes from Cali which they should already have in the bag, and slept her way up the ladder in that state.

What a great VP choice.

On the flip side, are people or did people vote for Pence?

I don't think it matters. VP selections are largely irrelevant...unless they fall flat on their face....see Palin.

I think Trump will make it partially about Kamala playing the “Biden won’t make it past his first term, so she is who you are voting for” angle.

Also, uhhh Hillary was one of the most hated politicians in recent memory going back to her days as first lady of Arkansas.

40%+ of Americans, and not all republicans either (20% of democrats) believe he has dementia.

Debates will crush both Biden and Kamala......she wont be able to go at Pence.  He is a cool cucumber.

Gary Johnson got 3% of the vote (4.4 million total) in 2016. I'd like to think Jo Jorgensen will exceed that total, but I'm not sure.

I don't think she will.

Then WTF bring up 2016 when it doesn't support your opinion?

...so you don't understand it then.

Oh well. I guess this is what I get for getting into the stupidity that is the Chatter politics forum.

You mean 40% of 1000.

But but...the polls!

You are not wrong, but the margin of error here is +/-4% with 1000 polled in a 300+ million population. So it is not that far off.

...had to have a script and holds the phone upside down.  smh.  I know someone who had dementia who would try to change tv channels by pushing buttons on the telephone.

I think they'll want to vote for not Trump.

I suspect the third-party candidates won't get nearly as many votes this year as they did in 2016 and people will opt for Biden instead

You specifically referenced less people voting 3rd party and going for Biden.  I said ALL of them in 2016 could have voted for Hillary and it wouldn't have changed anything.

Don't be Spock-lite and mock other people because you don't understand what you fucking wrote.

you seem upset. are you upset? it's not my fault you can't digest what you've read.

i wasn't suggesting that third-party voters would be the end-all-be-all deciders of the 2020 election. i implied that they will lean into D's favor.

compared to 2016's number i would expect less overall to go towards third-party candidates in the 2020 election.

Said by the person who believes EVERYTHING that suits his poli-agenda.

Your combination of utter stupidity and no self-awareness whatsoever is totally hilarious.

Jo J. - not a fan of her falling with the woke crowd.

Biden: as someone who caretakes my mother who is in mental decline I can see certain tells. With slurred words, no filter, combative characteristics and forgetting what he's saying 1/2 way through sentences, I can see signs of dementia.

I don't say this with any sense of schadenfreude, either. It's frustrating for caretakers and a mental prison for the one actually living it.

I know it's been a meme on Twitter for sometime but I can say with some 1st hand experience that it's rather mean to be parading him around. I despise the man's politics but that doesn't mean I've lost all sense of compassion for his situation.

Ptown I know you want a democrat in the presidency in the worst way (or anybody besides trump) but this is probably not the thing to cover your eyes for man.

It’s almost like we should stop sending men in their mid-70s to be the President!
