Didn't Roger Dorn, own, and then play for them during that run?

Rube Baker was a hoss though.

Shit....Rube sucked. He couldn't even throw the ball back to the pitcher. I would take Jack Parkman any day of the week.

Shit, that period was a mirage.

The 30 years before it and where we are now are the REAL Indians!

Because the real umpires gave Maddox and Glavine 8 inches off the plate.

I wish they'd go back to having the red socks and red undershirts they had from that era. I don't like the dark blue switch nearly as much.

Not sure if it was 95 or 96, but I can still picture Belle flexing after he homered that time against the Sox....lol

Or maybe it was because Maddox and Glavine were way, way, way better than Nagy and Martinez?

Had nothing to do with it. In fact, the tribe pitching staff was better than the Braves were that year in relative terms. Glavine and Maddox could hit a spot 8 inches off the plate all day. Well, they knew that the National Leaue crew chief, Auggie Danatelli has his 'own strike zone". the Braces were a sure lock to win the series.

Even the best hitting mackine of the 90's were unable to hit pitches 8 inches off the plate.

That may be the biggest blunder in Cleveland Indians history.

The biggest blunder was Jose Mesa in the '97 series.
