I would give a 7 as well. It is very good, but a bit over dramatic for my taste.

I gave it a 6. I thought it was good and was glad I saw it, but thought it was very cheesy and is not a movie that I would want to see a 2nd time.

Didn't really live up to expectations for me. I knew the story going in, though, and I don't think they did a very good job portraying some of the characters. Too much Hollywood in it.

My biggest problem was that Sandra's accent seemed a little over the top for me, and there were quite a few cheesy parts of the movie.

Wow, netflix messed this one up...... signed contract not to rent until late April: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ytech_gadg/20100323/tc_ytech_gadg/ytech_gadg_tc1309

Put Blind Side #1 in my Queue and says "Releases 4/20/2010" and I swore it was already out for rental! I called Netlfix and they signed contract with others not to rent it until then...That's some BS and we might start to see it more often if you read the above article....

Gave it a 10, finally saw it last night and loved the movie... Might buy the audiobook from audible.

Best thing about this movie was this comment.

The movie was awful due to the fact that there was so much of the story changed for the screen. This wasn't the Michael Oher story. This was a cheesy football movie that used the character name Michael Oher to market the movie. The 15 minute glossed over version of the illegal recruiting was quite funny. There was a lot more to that according to what I have read.

This movie was made for 2 reasons:

1. Try to win Sandra Bullock an award (which she will never deserve because she is an awful actress)
2. Try to make the woman look like she did all of this out of the kindness of her heart and not with dollar signs in here eyes.

Won't watch it...I know I'm in the minority here but I simply can't stand Sandra Bullock. Can't stand her at all and I really have no justification other than she seems pretentious.
