WOOOOWWW
anyone watch the Bayern game? Late goal with literally no time left and to top it off, Rooney limping off couldn't even walk on his foot.
Should be a very interesting return home for Man U

Yea. I saw that. Bayern Munich gets theirs.
I guess we will soon have an answer to our debate on where UTD would lie if they were without Rooney's services.
In other news....

Any preliminary word on Rooney's injury? Can't find much on it online as of yet.

I don't know why he plays Nani as much as he does. That little fucking rat doesn't do anything when he is on the pitch.
Rocks, they haven't released anything concerning hte injury. But hopefully for UTD's sake, it's nothing more than a sprain. I would check soccernet later tonight they should have the update for his condition.

I cant fathom what the fuck Evra was thinking.... Just terrible defending.
With Arsenal going up against mighty Barcelona, the EPL is staring straight at no teams past the Quarters. I think ManU can still get it done at home, but without Rooney (if he cant go) it will make the task MUCH more challenging.
Lyon appears to have locked up a Semis bid with a 3-1 win. They finally get an easier draw and get the job done. Kudos to them for knocking off Madrid, but getting Bordeaux was quite lucky imo.

"He's obviously hurt his ankle," he said. "We'll know better tomorrow. It's too early to say. I don't think it's terribly serious, but we'll wait and see."
Asked if he could feature against Chelsea on Saturday, Ferguson added: "I can't answer that, we need to wait until tomorrow."

What a game. Turned it on right after Bayern netted their 2nd.
They showed a replay of Rooney's injury and it just looked like he rolled it. It didn't look nearly as bad as Dwight Freeney's (Indianapolis Colts for you Futbol fans) in the Conference championship game.
Guessing a mild sprain. He is a warrior. Rooney will play if he can.

Rooney will definitely play if he can. One of the tougher guys in the game.

Agreed, but in WC years players arent so keen to push minor injuries. Even in the Champions League.LTrain23 wrote: Rooney will definitely play if he can. One of the tougher guys in the game.
That said, I would bet he plays.

Arsenal with a big one today against Barca. Not sure they can reasonably expect anything better than a tie when they visit Camp Nou, so today needs to be a win. Lets hope Arsene's boys can get it done.

I overheard some dude sitting in front of me in class last week talkin' shit on Rooney. I listened for a second then he said something along the lines of "Rooney is overrated, he really isn't that good but people are all over his nuts for whatever reason."
I said maybeeeeee it has something to do with the fact that he leads the league in goals and he responds with "no he doesn't, he has like 12-13 goals." LOL, I love the game, don't have a favorite team and I don't follow soccer that closely and even I knew that he's the league leader and somewhere in the mid-20's.
BUT, ManU lost Ronaldo and they're still sweet. Not having Rooney will hurt--but they're one of those franchises like the Lakers, Yankees, Steelers...they just find a way to reload.
