"These guys are sometimes the worst drivers out there," John Townsend, AAA Mid-Atlantic spokesman, told the newspaper. "It's almost like they're teenagers -- overconfident in their ability to drive. They take defensive driving courses, but they probably should take more of them."

My first thought was diplomats, then tourists. But, the police makes sense. Can't count how may times I've seen awful parking jobs or bad driving by the police.

It's not that they are bad drivers. They just know they can get away with mostly anything so they do it. The guy from AAA makes it sound like cops think they are Nascar drivers.

Ever driven on the beltway? Cops do think they are NASCAR drivers. I've had a few pass me who had to be doing at least 90.bigdaddy2003 wrote: It's not that they are bad drivers.
