Didn't seem to have these issues when Cowher was running the ship.

Ah, no criminal charges filed, but a civil suit for $$$ is. I'll be losing a lot of sleep over this one...

OK so this chick gets TEMPORARILY BLINDED, yet doesn't do anything. Then files a civil suit two weeks later?

If I get "temporarily blinded" as a result of someone else "assaulting" me......call me crazy, but I'm taking action right then and there!!!

I know Santonio will get ran through the ringer about this on here.....I fully expect that. But sorry, it just sounds ridiculous.

"Rain" nightclub?? Sounds like a classy joint. Why do I get the feeling this is one of the seedier strip clubs in Orlando?? I bet even Tiger has never gone there, LOL!

I love the Buckeyes, and I like Santonio Holmes, but this is b.s. Santonio Holmes has had waaaaaaay too many domestic disputes. This just adds to his long line of domestic violence.

If he wasn't an NFL player nothing would have happened at all, no lawsuit no nothing.

I have a feeling Goodell will not like this considering Holmes past transgressions. If there is any truth to this, he will probaly get a suspension.

Very true. You can't take blood from a turnip. However, as the linked article states, when are these guys going to learn to stop putting themselves in this situation. Particularly when the QB on your team shas had two women accuse them of rape in two years and Holmes himself has had off the filed problems.

I have always said if I were a professional athlete/celebrity I would not go to clubs. I would just hire a bunch of prostitues to do it all for me. You could even have them sign a hold harmless agreement with a confidentiality clause prior to performing services. It least you would be ensured they would not try to sue you or blabber about it.

Oh I agree about not putting yourself into the situation, but I don't think this situation is a big deal. I've seen worse happen at bars and clubs by people who are FAR from celebs and the cops tell them to both just go the hell home.

Holmes has too much bad history in this area to simply dismiss it out of hand.

And that's on him, nobody else.

Kudos. Gotta give credit to someone who, although they hate the Steelers, can call it like they actually see it.

I Love My Steelers and Buckeyes, but he needs to be suspended for 4 games at least. Make an example out of him. This is stupid, he sees what his QB is going through to do this??

Do I think that he did this? Yes
Do I think that this is a total money play? Yes
If I poured a drink on her would I be getting sued? No.
