Continuing this closed thread......

PS3 was winning the poll 28-23: http://www.ohiochatter.com/Thread-The-360-vs-The-PS3?page=4

With new games like God of War 3, Heavy Rain, FF XIII, Halo Reach and others coming soon, thought we would try this again.......

PS3 is actually sold out in most stores right now and xbox 360's are available in stores!!!! Kinda interesting....

If i only played sports games i would without a doubt rather have a PS3. But i like to play games like COD and Halo too and the 360 just has a much better online community. And the competition is better.

I prefer the 360 but that isn't to say the PS3 is a bad system. The franchises that I really like tend to be more on the 360 and the online component is a ton better.

I have both and play the 360 more because of the online play. Graphics on both are nice and I like being able to get on the Internet with the ps3

PS3 the only thing good about Xbox is Halo and it is starting to get old. MAG and GoWIII are kick butt!

I'm willing to bet there are a fair amount of people, me included, who would dispute that. Mass Effect is a pretty damned awesome series.

PS3. It's not really close right now, wait until the games catch up with the system. PS3 blows the 360 out of the water. The next gen from either company will kill both systems.

I'm guessing you play mostly shooters, action games, and sports games.

Not going to be a next generation for a while. Both Sony and Microsoft have stated this and are pretty heavily invested in Move and Natal respectively. I wouldn't expect to see a new console until at least Fall 2011 but more likely 2012.

The more I think about it the more I think it'll be later than that.

They're all heavily invested in their current consoles and Sony and Microsoft are betting big on their motion control systems. I don't think they're going to put Move and Natal out there only to replace the consoles the following year or two.

PS3.

Games are becoming much better than the 360 counterpart.

FFXIII was better on PS3 and only needed 1 disc, compared to 3 for the 360.

PS3 includes wi-fi, blu-ray, and web browsing. Plus an interchangeable harddrive if you ever want to go bigger in terms of space. Oh, can't forget free online too. And don't give me the crap that the 360 has better online.. I had both systems and have NEVER had a problem with PSN.

In fact, I recently sold my 360 on here because I hardly used it anymore.

The PS3 has the better exclusives, better hardware, and honestly, online play is damn near equal.

Great CNET video to compare the two:
