Congrats to Orange Freshman Artem Timchenko for placing 5th in the NHSCA Freshman National Tournament! Artem went 5-2 at 112 over two days against elite competition and came home an All-American.

Great job!

Who else went and/or placed from Central Ohio?

1_beast: He placed...a spot or two behind Bright (LSE)...7th??? I'm pretty sure he won in the finals but I don't think he got 5th.

Artem finished 7th at 112 at the Division 1 State Tournament this year.

He is one of the hardest working kids you'll ever meet, and it doesn't surprise me at all that he was able to go to Freshman Nationals and place 5th, improving on his State placement. His goals are higher than anything he has accomplished yet.
I look for even more improvement from him in the years to come.
Congrats to Timchenko.
