I watched the first season and it was awesome, after that it just got too unbelievable.

Seasons 4 and 5 were both really good but they haven't gotten back to that level since. There is a movie in the works so it isn't the total end of 24.

The show has peaked. It peaked after season 4/5. Those were ridiculously great seasons along with season 1. This is probably a good thing. Ive seen them all, and the plots just get re-hashed and played out, not to mention how absurd they have become.
This season is already finished filming though right? In other words, they will air the rest of day 8 will they not?

Watched I believe the first 4 or 5 seasons. LOVED the show but I think they are out of ideas. How many terrorists with bombs can Jack Bauer kill before you start repeating the same story lines? Plus, Elisha Cuthbert hasn't been on the show in FOREVER and that was a major buzzkill.

This is awesome news for me. I have never watched a single second of this series, but my new roommate brings his girlfriend over and they watch it together so the TV is occupied for Monday night basically. So now, hopefully this will mean that they can't watch their show, and now I can watch my shows

The first couple of years were good, but there's only so many nuclear bombs, chemical weapons, biological weapons, moles in CTU, etc plotlines you can have before it gets stale. It jumped the shark about 5 years ago.

If you've never watched it, don't comment about how it is over hyped or not that good. There's a reason it is the longest running action show of all time, it's just that good. And if you haven't seen it, and enjoy action movies, I suggest getting it and watching it. I had never seen it till last summer, decided I'd give it a try. I got the first season and I was hooked. Watched all 7 seasons in less than a month. Best show I've ever seen, beats most action movies in my opinion.
