Hmmm, not sure I agree or disagree. When you assemble THAT much talent..there is no question that youth can overcome experience. BUT, if you look at past NCAA champs...rarely do you see a frosh dominated team win it. UNC last year, Kansas 2yrs ago...Fla teams...they all had "some" youth, but were also surrounded with some experience as well the first year.
The question becomes...when a very talented, but youthful team meets a very talented experienced team..then what happens? Well, again, look at recent results...an experienced Fla team beat a talented but youthful OSU team. Experienced Kansas beats a young talented Memphis and last year, a very experienced and talented UNC team cruised to a title.
This year will be interesting to see how things end up. UK could certainly win it all...especially with Kansas out of the picture. I think the UK vs WVU game will be interesting as well. WVU is talented and experienced.
I think its a bit premature to say that the "Myth" is exposed...
Getting there is one thing...winning it all is another.

Unless others are seeing something different than I am, there is no way Orton is first round worthy this year. He needs to work on some things. He should stay another year to show people what he can really do. With Cousins and Patterson gone, he has time to shine. Dodson would be smart if he stays another year also. I thought Bledsoe should stay another year to get his chance with Wall gone, but the way he is playing at the end of this year.....he should go. Who knows, B. Knight might come to UK and its Wall all over again.

I didn't read the whole article, but I get the jist. I agree with him and I dissagree with him. You can with in the NCAA tournament wither with youth and a ton of talent, or experience and less talent. Look at schools like this year's Kentucky team, OSU in 2007, or Syracuse in 2003 who went deep and even won the NCAA Championship in spite of their youth because they had amazing talent. Now, look at some school this year like Cornell and Northern Iowa, who don't have as much talent as the teams they have beaten, but who have experience (not necessarily in the NCAA tournament, but in the sense that they have a lot of upper classmen). Also, when you think about the fact that there are only two teams in the Sweet Sixteen this year that were there the past two years, most teams have very little NCAA tournament experience. I'm not positive, but this Xavier team may have more NCAA tourney games under their belt in the past three years than anyone else. The point is, you can either win with great talent in spite of youth, or with less talent but lots of experience.

The biggest opponent of Kentucky will be karma.

The biggest opponent of Kentucky down the road will be the Ncaa lurking in the shadows with their citation book out.
