Apparently I gave the people who came on here too much credit. If you can't see the irony in this and find the humor, then I guess I overestimated the education and intelligence level of this board. If you can't find the humor in this, I feel sorry for you.

i understood it (as I do with most New Yorker drivel) but (like most New Yorker drivel) it's not funny. I get the appeal of the New Yorker. It's not for me though.

FYI this is the kind of remark that solidifies my presumption that all New Yorker readers are assholes.

I'm actually not a New Yorker reader, I saw this posted somewhere else and thought it was funny and that some here mind find it enjoyable as well. Clearly I was wrong. I'm guessing that if you went and saw Shakespeare somewhere then you would understand the humor, but still not find it funny right?

I find the use of Find/Replace to be lazy, unoriginal and not funny. Of course this is just my opinion. I'd never call someone an idiot for liking it.

yes, i have a high school degree. I've read Shakespear. Like JC said, it's lazy and not funny. If they'd have ripped off Faust, or Poe it could have had more potential. Hell even doing more than replace Brutus with Dickie V. and Rome with Kansas would have made me chuckle.
