Yeah, Turner will play much better against GT.

Buford and Diebler continue to shoot extremely well.

Just need to keep on playing hard.

I hope I'm wrong, but I've got Tech. I was rooting hard for Oklahoma State today. The Buckeyes can't possibly match up with Georgia Tech's bigs, and they showed today that a team that keeps from getting to the rim causes them to struggle unless Diebler shoots out of his mind.

How about the play of Lauderdale tonight? He put on a block party against UCSB! I know this won't happen against GT and I would bet they go at him and try to get him in early foul trouble so we will have to play Madsen more than Matta would like. But if Diebler and Buford can score like they did with Turner having a better shooting night...OSU will be tough!

Favors and Lawal could tear up inside. Tech is too inconsistent though. They'll turn the ball over, leave shooters open, and the coaching edge is definitely with the Buckeyes.

OSU by 7.

Georgia Tech is one of the most inconsistent teams I have seen play this season. They're very talented, but you never know which team is going to show up for the game. In fact, they may play great for a half and then be awful the rest of the game. Favors and Lawal could definitely give OSU trouble, especially if Lauderdale gets into foul trouble though.

There's no way that Tech repeats its FT shooting performance from today, but they could still pull the upset if they have success down low. That said, I'm gonna take the Bucks in a close game, something like 70-64.

Edit: Looks like mulva basically said the same thing I said while I was typing.

I say ET will bounce back and have 17pts 9rbs and 7 assists...OSU by 9. A possible matchup with OU in the Sweet 16! How sweet would that be! haha

OSU by 4 or 5 for reasons already stated. Turner had better show up and not turn the ball over.

No way Turner has a bad game like he did today, and I'm just glad he got it out of the way against UCSB while his teammates really stepped up tonight.

I like our chances against Georgia Tech if everybody keeps playing like they have been in this recent stretch.

I think the OU Bobcats are going to make things interesting again only this time against Tennessee...what's everyone else think? If OU shoots like they did last game...they looked very impressive!

What's the spread on this game?

Georgia Tech is the type of team that scares me because of their athletes and bigs. I think OSU is the better team, but if Tech can get Lauderdale into early foul trouble they could really dominate the paint.

As iron stated above, Georgia Tech doesn't play good team or fundamental basketball. Ohio State should win by doubles.

I will be cheering my head off for the Atlantic Coast Conference, however.

GT may have athletes but OSU isn't too shabby. I think most people are selling this team short.

While some higher seeds struggled, OSU won easily while Turner went 2-13 from the field.

Ohio State's athletes are fine, they just don't have enough of them and don't have any over 6' 8".

I wouldn't be worried about the athletes on the perimeter. Where the Bucks are going to struggle is in the paint. Favors and Lawal have the potential to DESTROY Lauderdale and Madsen.

Lauderdale seems pretty athletic last night. People don't think highly of him because of his lack of offensive abilities, but the guy can play defense. Those GT guys will have some trouble going at him imo.

People on here seem to be underestimating OSU's talent. We are a very good basketball team. The ball movement last night was amazing and that will kill teams like GT who don't play solid defense.

Doug Gottleib says this about GT. Get there early and get a seat in one of the front rows to watch their athletes. Their guards may even throw a pass your way.

I just think a lot of people don't want to get their hopes up in case OSU falls early and they can be like "see told ya so" or if they advance far they can be like "I knew they could do it" ...... I think the Buckeyes can take this game, Turner was just flat out bad last night and we still won by 17 points.

If the Bucks deny the inside passing game fairly efficiently I see no reason to worry too much. If GT is able to dump inside and get paint shots that cause Lauderdale to over defend it could hurt them, but I think they'll try and deny those ins as much as possible.

Ga Tech >>>>> UCSB

If ET plays like anything that resembles last night the Bucks will lose.

Even the the advantage in the paint to Ga Tech, OSU has the advantage on the outside. They should win this game regardless of how the inside game goes.

Yes, and Lauderdale is 6' 8". And they only play 6 players, 4 of whom are good or better athletes, hence they don't have enough of them.

Lauderdale plays much bigger than 6'8", hell of a wing span. I'd rather not rely on Madsens play if at all possible though.
