I feel like most soccer threads end up here. This is a fantastic goal, that his team needed at the time, which makes it even better. And, it was his first game back from injury. Dempsey should be in great form for the USMNT.

It's basketball time, but I've been watching this over and over on commercials.

That is a great goal! I am glad he is back to seeing action, I knew he was injured and I never really heard if he would be fit for the world cup or not.

Here is a link of it with the greatest commentator alive, Ray Hudson.

I searched "Clint Dempsey", before I started this one, and did not see one. So....if there was one, I didn't see it.

You should search some Ray Hudson if you liked that call. My favorite ever was this (paraphrasing from last year)

"Messi gets the ball on the wing, cuts inside and looks up to see Eto'o making a run. But Messi says, no! I dont need ya Sammy. No sir. This man needs help like a fish needs a bicycle. Simply amazing. What a little wizard this man is. Lionel Messi....make you smile at a funeral on Christmas."

Here you go upper. I was a little off on the paraphrasing. It does cut off though. I watched this live and about fell out of my chair laughing.

They were up 3-1 at the time. Why did they need it?(not trying to be a dick)

No, makes sense to ask that....they were up 3-1 in the game, but they needed another goal to get ahead on the aggregate, to knock out Juventus, and advance in the Europa league. They came into the game down 3-1 in the aggregate, and before Dempsey scored, it was 4-4.
