Against ND in September 2011.

Article reads like this is something Rodriguez had wanted for a while and finally got the administration to buckle.

UM had no choice on this one. Primetime has become the gold standard of CFB these days. Interesting if Rich Rod will be around to coach this though.

They should turn the lights off so nobody has to see these two pathetic teams play.

this should be great, i doubt the high school and golf course are going to enjoy the parking mess this will cause.

btw this move happened because the new AD allowed it.

As an alumnus of UofM, I was at first a bit upset over this wanting them to keep with tradition, then realized it isn't a big deal, just keeping up with the times and such.

Whatever they do, don't ever allow advertising inside the stadium. I like the plain simple look unlike some places where it looks like a minor league ballpark.

I love night games, it allows all day to tailgate.

Pretty cool. Should be quite the atmosphere for this game.

The Bucks have personally "turned out the lights" on TSUN lately.

This is a pretty big deal, akin to Wrigley hosting it's first night game (since they were the last major league ball park to do so). I also think that this is very good for the Big Ten. With Gene Smith and Tressel liking night games more and more, and with a new AD and newer coach at Michigan now allowing night games, this may eventually signal the first prime time OSU/Michigan game sometime down the road (if the Big Ten begins allowing night games after October that is).

Why do I keep thinking 2006 was under the lights?

It was a 3:30 start, and it was dark by the games end, if I remember correctly, the lights were on the entire game.

tix to this game will be a fortune. ive heard they are going with paperless tickets in 2011 also to help prevent scalping. i believe penn st has already done this.

Your time is coming. I believe the lights were out for OSU in the 90s. But you probably aren't old enough to remember. :P

How does paperless tix help prevent scalping? I'm serious, not pulling your chain.

I can see that it might help against fake tickets, but how would it work against scalping?

You can't scalp a ticket if you don't physically have it in your hand

OK, then what's the method of confirmation at the gate?
