Well, if it makes you feel any better, I just looked at a few sites on Alexa and those sites just very recently took a nose dive. Could be the weather.

I figured it would happen. There area lot of people who are casual readers and don't visit the site all that often or take note of announcements. It's possible a lot of the word of mouth we had going for freehuddle didn't transfer over to the new domain.

But the weather could also be a factor...

I'm leaning more towards my first idea.

Well, maybe I spoke too soon. It is only 5pm so we should still get a lot of views tonight.

Tuesday - 43k views
Wednesday - 37k views
today - 19k views

Most days before the switch were between 45-60k views.

The weird thing is that adsense revenue has gone up, in general. Monday was the highest grossing day, I believe, since I put ads on the site.

I'm gonna say weather, st pattys day, and the NCAA tourny. If it was mainly the switch in domain names it would have been way way down tuesday.

Hopefully people who go to freehuddle.com that didn't hear about the name change will do a google search for "what happened to freehuddle"

Ya, the way they fell leads me to believe it is other factors besides domain name switch.

I will solely take blame for this..since going back to work..I haven't been on much. I was responsible for at least 20,000 page views. I'm sorry guys..I'll try to pick it back up!

I too think this, I think the new name is great and a better option for people to come across when they are searching.

Someone should start a wikipedia page about freehuddle and Ohiochatter or both and mention how freehuddle became Ohiochatter.

Also some how work in that freehuddle and eventually ohiochatter formed because JJHuddle went to a pay to play format greedily after already making members pay once for membership... include all the details making JJ look bad.

This way people could stumble upon OhioChatter and I don't believe this could be held against Justin. As it would be information on wikipedia... not any kind of official advertisement trying to "confuse" people with their mark.

Thanks. I just thought of it... not sure why I didn't come up with it earlier when talking about how to advertise. Heck, wikipedia can pretty much be used as free advertisement and it'll hopefully pop up when people do google searches.

Someone want to take that on? I want to keep my ip address out of the logs. :)

These fuckers have me paranoid. I've had two people email the [email protected] address asking what the new site is but I refuse to reply in the off-chance BuckNuts is trying to trap me.
