Thought I'd take this to a separate thread....

Carolina up 8, 38-30 with under 3 left in the first half.

Carolina is actually playing with a little intensity tonight.

W&M threes are keeping them in it, but hopefully Carolina can stretch this 11-point lead even further before the half.

If they can put together 3-4 stops in a row, W&M will be done.

Nice play by Drew II to end the half.

Heels by 10 at the half. I'll take it.

Yeah I'll take a 10 point lead.

I wish they would have had a better set to end the half, because it was more of a broken play to get Deon that dunk.

Apparently Gottlieb thinks Zeller could possibly make the jump to the NBA. Really? Has there been any talk of this at all?

Zeller has barely played the equivalent of one season during the last two years. He'll be a junior next season, but in reality, he'll be more like a sophomore since he has only seen minimal ACC action the last two years because of his wrist and foot.

Which is why I would have like to have seen Roy sit him for the year last year.

Could have had an extra year with him.

Is it weird cheering for your team in the NIT? This isn't a slam or a poking of fun, either. Just wondering.

I would watch because I have a vested interest (an unhealthy one, some might say), but I would find it hard to get into it. '95 was so long ago and I was pretty young, but I remember wanting to die.

I realize that when K leaves this could happen, so I'm not standing on a high horse here. I've had my fun with this UNC team. Time to move on.

Yes it is very weird.

But I would still cheer for them if they were playing in any sort of tournament.

Yeah, that would have been nice. I guess Zeller lobbied to get back in there to be a part of the national title run, but it would have been nice to save that year of eligibility.

Did they say anything more about Wear? I assume he's getting stitches. With all the injuries this season, it only makes sense for the Carolina players to start injuring each other during games.

I haven't heard anything else about Wear.

Yeah, not a whole lot of excitement watching Carolina play in the NIT, but if they're playing a game, I'm gonna be watching it.

Gotta stick with the team through thick and thin. The disappointment of this season will only make future success that much sweeter.

Not to detract from the thread here, but not only is it weird, it sucks. Couple years ago when Ohio State won the whole damn thing it was as un-fullfilling of a feeling as you could imagine. You knew you could have made some noise in the Big bracket but just didn't get there. You knew you would have won a game or two and it would have felt better knocking somebody out than having taken home the "also rans" trophy. In my opinion of course.

I LOOOOOOOOVE the Dean Dome.

That being said, it is WAY too big. I wouldn't mind if Carolina played back here in Carmichael. And have the students basically all around the lower bowl ala the Izzone.

Watching this game in the background, also love Carmichael over the Dean Dome. Carolina should win this game, but.......? Oh shit, it's down to one now. Good post about sticking with this team through thick and thin, a lot of people can't say that about their teams.
How old were you in 1995 Rec? I was in college, still remember where I was sitting during the UNC/Duke game in Cameron, one of the all time bests in the rivalry. Zeller isn't ready to go to the NBA, no way.

Not that I've noticed him tonight, but does Karl Hess request Carolina games?

That waste of space has done about 75% of their games the last few years.

Jimmy Dykes is AWFUL.

I really don't like listening to him do a game.

This is the greatest shooting performance I have ever seen, lol.
