Saw some film on Minster last night. Nice team. They have a player, Wolff(#32 I believe), who will remind Hiland fans of Lindsay Stuckey. She can shoot threes, post up, go hard after offensive rebounds. She's a little chunky, not particularly quick, but sooo good with the ball in her hands. She makes all the right moves and decisions. Very, very impressive player. A key for Hiland will be to limit her.

Minster also has a solid team around Wolff. There is a big post player that you have to keep off the boards, and every other player appears solid. Not sure about their bench.

Minster will have to deal with the best coach in the game who has a squad of 10 players who will be playing their 2nd or 3rd game on the state stage. Weaver and Yoder have to be the best PG-SG tandem in the state, if not the best.

Minster is disciplined and they play a lot like Hiland. The game will show us whether another team can out-Hiland Hiland. Typically the teams that beat Hiland are those who have better athletes.

Thoughts?

It seems weird not seeing Africentric in the D4 final four.

As for Minster, I know absolutely nothing about them. I know it is a hell of a football school. What is their record and ranking?

They started out 6-7 and then won 12 straight and have been playing their best ball. Their bad start kept them out of the AP rankings. Maxpreps has them rated something like 56th statewide/all divisions - if you place any faith in that. Hiland is 17th. Don't think those rankings will matter on Friday.

Not sure that Africentric would have made it there if they were in D IV, maybe so.

I saw on the otherforum that Minster and Ft Loramie are only 4 miles apart, pretty amazing. There are a ton of good programs out there, I like our chances but you just never know 1 game at a time. I agree Pariah, Weaver & Yoder (how Hiland is that) are the best 1&2 in the state.

Hey, people are sensitive. Wouldn't have been the first time my size 10 has fit neatly in my oral cavity.

Muffin and Kate are rooming together. Last time they slept in the same bed was an extreme camp and Muf said Kate elbowed and kicked her all night and Kate said Muf was in her space. Might have some mean and grouchy girls on our hands this weekend! Look out Minster!

No worries "the best coach in the game" will find a way to use this grouchiness to his advantage.
