...and I've got most of the day Saturday to go see the city. I get in on a Saturday afternoon (1ish) and leave on Thursday morning.
What do I need to see/visit while I'm there?
Good places to eat?

Your boyfriend
Kidding...
I would say Golden Gate Bridge. It's famous for suicides. You may be lucky to catch one in the act.

The Original Tommy's Joynt... as seen on Diners, Drive-ins and dives. Never been there, but I have seen/heard great comments. Big Sammies, etc.

I hear this place is amazing, I am upset I never got a chance to eat here.queencitybuckeye wrote: http://www.fleurdelyssf.com/
My faves in the Bay Area:
*Albona, an Istrian (like Italian, amazing) restaurant: http://albonarestaurant.com/
*Napa and Sonoma, hit the vineyards, just gorgeous
*Mamas - world famous breakfast, the line will be out the door but worth the wait: http://www.mamas-sf.com/
*Fisherman's Wharf is REALLY touristy, but fun
*I know this too is touristy, but I think the highlight of my many trips out west was the Alcatraz Tour ... I ate that up, so fun, worth your time
*Otherwise, just hang in the Union Square area and bar hop

I did a google search for you and found the place you'll not want to miss (though you probably already know about it...). It's called: CASTRO/UPPER MARKET, and is aptly found by taking the streetcar F-Line.justincredible wrote: ...(1ish)... ...What do I need to see/visit while I'm there?...
Info...and nearby Noe Valley, offer village-like amenities including pedestrian-friendly streets, Victorian homes in historic Eureka Valley, an array of trendy stores and outdoor cafes for the “see and scene” crowd.

Good advice, although as a friend who owns a winery there says, "Sonoma makes wine, Napa makes auto parts".BigAppleBuckeye wrote: *Napa and Sonoma, hit the vineyards, just gorgeous

Castro is the center of the gay district. If you go there, you will certainly see some sights.Apple wrote:I did a google search for you and found the place you'll not want to miss (though you probably already know about it...).
