"Troy Polamalu's status for this week's game is questionable at best..."

Per Mike Tomlin's weekly news conference taking place now. He also said that they have received some favorable news regarding where Troy is at and reported that it's not a re-injury. Tomlin stated that it's a PCL strain and not the MCL that Polamalu injured earlier in the year. "Two different injuries" according to Tomlin.

I can't see him playing vs. KC. They should be able to take care of business against the Chiefs without him.

They can beat KC without Troy. Who do they have in the weeks coming up after that?

Ya know...when Carter plays for Clark he does a great job..has a number of picks. When he plays for TP he doesnt seem to quite do as well.

KC game is winnable without him. Balt....well...they arent very good..but it is a rivalry and @ balt will be tough with, or without, him.

Wow I love the people who keep saying Baltimore isn't any good. Thanks for the chuckle.

Anyways Troy being out shouldn't matter against the Chiefs but it is the NFL and I have learned to never take anything for granted.

I'm not so worried about Kansas City, but having him back against Baltimore would be a big help.

You should never underestimate Kansas City, they aren't very good but with Troy out of the lineup that takes a playmaker out of Pittsburghs defense.. Just sayin'

Dwayne Bowe just got suspended for 4 games without pay for violating the league's policy against performance enhancing drugs. That helps some.

I wouldn't say they aren't any good but they aren't the same team they were last year. I also don't think Flacco is as good as he's been made out to be.

Flacco is good. He is a bright spot for them.

They have a few problems.
1. Lack of an adequate place kicker.
2. Less than adequate secondary other than Ed Reed.
3. Those less than adequate secondary members committing dumb penalties and putting the other team into the red zone at the end of the game.

As far as Baltimore, I think they're good. I just don't know that they're playoff caliber this year for two reasons.

1. While the front seven is still strong on defense, other than Reed, the secondary is very questionable. That puts a lot of pressure on a defense to get to the quarterback because if they don't, he'll skewer the secondary.

2. The offense seems to be struggling a lot right now. They had one good drive against the Browns....thanks to one great play to Mason for 41. Cleveland's defense is the bright spot on their team, but it's not at Pittsburgh's level. After last week, I'm hoping we don't have another good defensive effort wasted by a kickoff return for a score and a pick setting up points. If we do, we're in trouble; but if not, I think the Steelers are a better team talent-wise.

^ I agree to a certain extent. You are 100 percent correct about the defense. Hopefully Haloti Ngata will be back for the Pittsburgh game. The offense is struggling but I think in part it's a confidence thing. I don't believe it to be lack of skill like some of the huddlers seem to believe. Most people don't watch all of their games like I do and see what goes on. They just see that they have lost 4 games and write them off. 3 of their losses have been in major part to stupid penalties. They lost the last game to Cincy straight up. Cincy just walked on them basically. I realize penalties are put of the game but I'm just saying they could just as easily be 8 and 1 right now as 5 and 4. Oh well I guess. It's neither here nor there I suppose.

Baltimore put 16 points on the Browns, 7 of it thanks to Brady Quinn. To think they will challenge the Steelers next game is a joke.

How a team plays in a certain game doesn't always mean anything. Pittsburgh only beat Detroit by 8. Do you think they are on the same level?

True but I don't think the Baltimore offense can put up the points.

Baltimore is not one of the teams that I chalk up wins against before the game.

That's fine. I'm not worried if anyone is scared of them. I just want to make sure the facts are straight.

The harsh reality of the NFL and what the facts show is that Baltimore is a 5-4 football team. This isn't CFB where style points count, you're judged on wins and losses, period. I could sit here all day and say the Steelers should be undefeated if they did this or did that, but I don't, they're 6-3 nothing more and nothing less.

With Polamalu out Clark will have to go double time on the cheap-shots....
