A while back ago many were comparing Turner to Jimmy Jackson. I heard a lot of people say that Turner was not as good because Jimmy was POY. It is looking more and more like Turner will win that award also. Will many change their tune? I loved JJ but I honestly think Tuner is the better player because of his versatility. Of course I will admit it could be a case of "out of sight out of mind" in giving Turner the edge.
Just curious I guess as to what people think now?

I said back then it was a tough call for me at the time, It still is. The difference remains one of hindsight, Bobby Knight claimed Jackson as one of the best he's seen. I put a lot of stock into his praise, Turner has yet to have any hindsight accolades.
Jackson was certainly explosive, Turner is more versatile as I see it. Both are worthy of the top spot in their own way. I still can't put one ahead of the other.

Jackson excelled when college basketball was at it's zenith as far as talent goes. Early entry to the NBA has watered down the talent pool in college basketball.I still give the edge to Jackson.

I'll answer this once the NCAA tournament is over. Jimmy took his club to the elite 8. Let's see what Evan does with his.

Jackson still has more points, and will unless Evan Turner comes back for his senior year, which is unlikely.... I think they're both members of the 1500 point club 500 rebounds and 300 assists

All great points on JJ. Like I said it's probably more of a "out of sight out of mind thing with JJ" Besides I think his final year I was at most a freshman in high school. It's been awhile. JJ was the greatest I had seen play and would just like to think that we are seeing something similar in Evan Turner.
