First postseason test for the young Cats, I think it'll be closer than a lot of people expect, but I think they come back and take this one.

The last game against Bama was absolutely brutally painful to watch. Bama loves to slow it down and grind it out.

Obviously.
However, win or lose, this team is again, going through the motions. The rebounding is very poor for a team who is otherwise the best team in the country on the glass.

Through the motions is exactly what I have seen at times with this UK team during the season. And exactly why I see upset written on them as well.Azubuike24 wrote: Obviously.

Kentucky is getting absolutely pounded on the glass. 16 offensive rebounds for Bama already.

Every 4 or 5 games Cousins has one like this where he gets more fouls than points and when he doesn't get touches, he can disappear.

wall, more than any player i can remember, can take a game over whenever he feels like it. seems like he's going to do that any moment now.

But is that on Cousins or the others for not getting him the ball more? The guy should be the focul point of the offense IMO. I have always believed when you have a stud in the middle, you go inside/out on offense.Azubuike24 wrote: Every 4 or 5 games Cousins has one like this where he gets more fouls than points and when he doesn't get touches, he can disappear.

I agree. I will say that Patterson has been the focal point inside today, he has 14 points. But you are right, feed the big man early so they stay focused.

55-51 Kentucky, a little over 8 left.
Cats went on a huge run, got the lead to double digits, but Anthony Grant called a timeout, switched to a zone and got 6 quick points. Great adjustment by Grant IMO.

Kentucky 73, Alabama 67.
Wall with 23, Patterson with 20.
Kentucky will face the winner of Tennessee/Mississippi which is coming up next.
Not an impressive performance really. UK still out-rebounded by 12.

I am not sure WHO has been impressive. None of the top teams have.Azubuike24 wrote: Kentucky 73, Alabama 67.

But again, they are playing desperate teams with A LOT to gain, nothing to lose. Makes for an interesting games as we have seen.

Nothing I saw today truly concerned me, I still think Kentuckys the best team in the land.
