From the Cincinnati Tea Party 3/12/10 email:
President Obama Coming to Ohio

Have something to say to President Obama?

Join fellow Tea Party supporters when President Obama visits Strongsville, OH on Monday, March 15, to discuss health care insurance reform at the Walter F. Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center.

This event is free and open to the public, however, tickets are required. Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis on Sunday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Lobby of the Walter F. Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center.

Tea Party Supporters will gather outside event for those who can't get tickets. Get there early! Most likely secret service will shut roads down surrounding the location. Plan to be there in the morning.

Date: March 15, 2010, Monday
Time: 1pm
Location: Walter F. Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center
Address: 18100 Royalton Road, Strongsville, OH, 44136
BHO just doesn't get it. He says people don't understand his plan. But the more he talks about health care, the more people are rejecting his plan.

I will not be attending due to a prior commitment at my place of employment.

Honestly I dont care at all. But this political forum needing topics to be approved before posting them is a bit ridiculous. The political rhetoric that gets printed here is what 2 guys allow. Where's the freedom of speech in that?

it will be interesting to see what he says. seems like he has been on the "campaign" trail lately trying to get support for this plan.

The House is scheduling a vote in the next week or so to wrap this up before members get a chance to go home and listen to their constituents, so it looks like HC is going to happen.

One of the things I heard about today I found interesting in the bill that happens soon after enactment is that kids can stay on their parents insurance plan until they're 26. Given the age of many of the posters on this board, it actually may affect some on this board depending on the their situation.

Also, did anyone notice that BHO and Democrats are putting major Student Loan reform into the Health Care bill so it can bypass the filibuster? Private lenders get a huge stream of freebie money the way it works currently, and were lobbying hard to kill the bill. I guess Dingy Harry and Queen Nancy realized they were not going to get 60 for that either, so figured why not in terms of attaching it to healthcare.

I am interested to see what kind of turnout the tea party produces Monday considering the increased urgency level now that HC is looking more inevitable regardless of public opinion.

I wouldn't go see him. I don't make it a habit to go see people I voted for, much less people I didn't vote for.

This board is owned by Justin. It is technically not a public forum, so complete freedom of speech does not necessarily apply here.

True but I do not understand why topics posted on the political forum need blessed, sprinkled with holy water, and pasteurized before they "go live". Meanwhile just about ANYTHING goes on all the other forums.

It is indeed Justin's site and I appreciate his wisdom in giving us an alternative to that other joke of a web site. Still it seems odd that political posts are initially scrutinized when the F-Bomb, T&A, douche bag, and other stupidity can be posted unimpeded on the other forums.

At least the political forum attracts a better class of "serious business" scum! :P

If I could get close enough to tell him what I think of him, yes I'd go. But since that isn't going to happen, I'll pass.

^^^Oh...so you want to stay on topic? lol

If you were to get close enough to BHO to tell you what you think of him, you'd likely get clobbered on the head with a Pelosi Ugly Stick by the Secret Service.

So you think it's ok for potentially unstable people(not saying all tea-partiers are unstable, just some) to be able to carry loaded weapons around the President, whom many of them hate??

1.You would never get within 10 feet of him

2.Do you honestly think the President give a damn about what someone who didn't vote for him and will never vote for him thinks? I don't think so

Agree with you here. Obama made that quite clear in his little sit down with the republican leaders a few weeks ago. I agree with you he was just acting. He did not give a damn what they thought. He was just using them to for a political show.

Actually gibby, contrary to what you think, I think President Obama should care about the people who didn't vote for him.
There's always time to sway folks. There's always time to find room to meet in the middle. There's always time to focus a little more on other things. There's always time to reach out to the people to get them to see where you're coming from.

If President Obama just wanted to speak in front of people who voted for him, he would never leave the perpetually blue states. Or the visit would be by invitation only.

Why are you so riled up and cussing?

Just because we know/read what 300 said, doesn't mean that Obama knows about him or others like him.
Part of Obama's job/public speaking is to do just what I posted.

Now, is that any reason to nut up?

And the republicans will never vote for him either. Why would he care what they think.
