Hearing about Jihad Jane the other day made me wonder about something..... why would a blonde haired, blue eyed woman from Texas join the jihadists? I mean, I could understand if Islam is the religion that speak for her, but how could she stray so far. How does the radical sect of the religion work for her? I mean isn't by the very nature of their beliefs she is accepting less as as woman? I guess I just don't get it. The attached article talks about it a little.

Could be any number of things....self-esteem issues, abuse by family/others, anti-government sentiment run amok, all the way down to severe menstrual cramps.

Bottom line...I stopped tying to figure out women long ago. They do what they do.

Well I guess she probably got sucked into it the same way that radical Christians get sucked into thinking that they have to kill to stop killing, IE: abortion clinic bombings and the like.

Some people are just crazed in their faith, or lack thereof.
