First team
G James Anderson, junior, Oklahoma State. As he fought off an early shooting slump, Anderson became a more varied scorer. Again making jumpers, he's putting up cartoonish numbers.
G Scottie Reynolds, senior, Villanova. Once mostly a hot-or-not scorer, Reynolds mastered the pick-and-roll and became the driving force of a consistently overwhelming offensive machine.
G Evan Turner, junior, Ohio State. He missed six games because of a broken back, but his contributions as a scorer, rebounder and playmaker outweighed his absence.
G Greivis Vasquez, senior, Maryland. After finding his way back from a dreadful start, Vasquez dominated opponents with his scoring, passing and will to win.
G John Wall, freshman, Kentucky. Though he could have excelled relying just on his extreme physical advantages, he showed leadership and maturity in reviving Kentucky.
No BIGS!!!!

I'm really not surprised with the lack of bigs. It seems like the dominant players now are guard/forward hybrids more often than not. The diversity in their games give them a "be-all, end-all" do-everything vibe.

I don't think so. He is the driving force behind Villanova basketball and he has been a clutch performer this year.Reynolds=overrated

Best Big I have seen this year is UK Cousins. If he can learn to stay out of foul trouble and keep his composure...he is a force down low.

I think Greg Monroe deserved some mention.

I'd put Monroe probably 3rd or 4th in terms of big men. Reynolds on the team is pretty much a joke. The guy is a one-dimensional player.

By "many of you", are you also including virtually all the national media, who have it as a two-man race between him and John Wall for POY? Yahoo! gave it to Wall, TSN gave it to Turner. Seems like all of them put those two a step above the rest.

YOu are on a Ohio based forum, what else would you expect. Remember the Bucks were going to crush Florida, LSU and USC according to these goons and TP was going to win Heisman last year and is a favorite next year.gibby08 wrote:

Feel free to leave anytime and go spend your time on your bandwagon team sites.
