What a great day for a supercross race yesterday.

start/finish lined up with the big track, and the gate was turned around for the first time in many years. Nice work by Ricky Carmichael

west end, starting gate, what looks like smoke is the water truck

this was the pits, free to all until after practice.

Honda riders Andrew Short, Davi Millsaps, Trey Canard, and Kevin Windham chat with fans. I asked KW what his favorite memory was from 2 years ago. He said he was just trying to finish 2nd and was happy with it, then he saw Reed, but his own bike was smoking, and it was just such a surprise to win. He has the trophy right in the middle of his trophy case, with all the mud still on it, and his unwashed jersey is hanging in a frame too.

Levi Kilbarger made the lites main event, ran around 15th until the end, I don't know how he fell to 20th.

Dungey took 2nd

Canard is a lites rider filling in for Andrew Short. He ran 3rd getting another podium. Windham and Millsaps were 4th & 5th

A medical team carefully braced his neck for the ride to the hospital. He was talking to the medics who loaded him into an ambulance. He was reported to be awake and alert. I saw the wreck, but a scissor lift tv camera was in my view. I just found a link, complete story and results and link to more pics.

Langston was released Sunday from the hospital. Reed practiced but didn't race. He fell once but also laid down the fast lap in the group. His hand is obviously not 100% plus he needs more ride time in practice to condition the hand. I think I'll see him race in Jax.
