Is it just me or does it seem like Sosa has played about 6 years for Louisville?
One of those guys who just seems to never graduate.

Not an upset.

Louisville was a 1 point favorite. Louisville already won at the Carrier Dome.

The fact that Syracuse might lose this game is not telling of why the Orangemen might "not best team in the country." Give me a break.

Duke got crushed at home on senior night in 2001 at the hands of Maryland, giving the Devils their fourth loss of the season (Syracuse currently has 2, and 3 if they end up losing today). Guess what? Duke won the national title. Syracuse can, too. They have an excellent team.

A #1 seed in the NCAA's is a lock for Syracuse and Louisville is playing for their NCAA tourney lives and it's the last men's hoops game that will ever be played in Freedom Hall so the place was rocking and there was a lot of emotion on the part of the players. I'm not happy about it....but it doesn't mean much IMO. Maybe Rick Pitino owns Jim Boeheim. The good news is I don't anticipate running into Rick Pitino in the NCAA tourney.

Upset...

#1 team in the land losing to an un-ranked team. And don't give me the whole "college basketball rankings dont matter bologna"

It is what it is...

Exactly.

Also, Kyle Kuric has played out of his fucking mind today. Shit happens.

At this point in the year.....the only "rankings" that matter are the potential "seedings" for the NCAA tourney. And Syracuse has a #1 on lock.

I don't have a problem with it being called an upset. It means that Louisville is NCAA-bound now. Good for them. Syracuse's situation hasn't been altered other then losing the #1 ranking in the country.

I agree that it's not an upset, especially considering the circumstances. Not surprised Louisville is winning, but surprised they are winning by this much.

The only silver lining is that another Big East team is gonna be in the dance now.

Like I siad, I NEVER thought they were the best team and they lost to Louisville at home earlier. So no, this loss was not a surpirse to me. And yes, they can win the the national title, but I was simply saying this loss didn't surpirse me because I do not think they are as good as everyone is building them up to be.

I actually think Louisville would have been in either way. UConn and ND are the only bubble teams for the Big East (nether of which i think should be in).

Agree with your post...well said.

The March Madness tourney is wide open this year...and the Buckeyes, with a little lady luck, could win it all.

If the Buckeyes don't find a seventh player who can provide solid minutes, they have not a breezy day in hell chance of cutting down the nets in April. Six-player rotations, for teams that rely so heavily on one player to do it all (while Buford, Lighty and Lauderdale can have big nights, Turner is this team's Pistol Pete), aren't enough to win the Big Dance.

Not suprising. Pitino's teams always play well come this time of year. Combine that with L'ville's back being against the wall, senior day, last game at freedom hall etc...this was going to be a tough game for Syracuse.
