Yet another politician who preaches family values does the opposite with drunken driving and leaving a known gay bar.
Should all the hypocrites be voted out? (it does not matter which party)

If you voted out every hypocrite from Congress there wouldn't be anyone left in government.
While that may be appealing (the no government part) it's not realistic; and jumping all over these guys on THIS issue is stupid, unless you're going to start holding every rep who ever went the opposite way in life on something he voted responsible in the same way.
In this case, the guy is an idiot for drinking and driving more than anything else. He put others at risk.
The rest...just more hyperbole in a world that's overflowing with it.
If you voted out every hypocrite from Congress there wouldn't be anyone left in government.

Well he should be given a pass because of his hard work for family values in the past. You know, like Harry Reid was given a pass on his racist remarks because of his hard work for civil rights in the past.

But you, I, and all the other posters on this site are responsible for voting for dumbass people like this. They don't get appointed.
Everyone pisses and moans about our elected officials, but we are the ones that voted them in.
Wake up, and pay attention to who you vote for. My guess is that less than 1/2 of the people(of voting age) on this site even voted in the last election. I think, and could be wrong (but I doubt it), that only about 50% of the population voted in the last presidential election, and it's around 35% in mid-term elections.
But everyone wants a drink out of the government well.

I seriously just don't understand why if you are going to be a hypocrite about something why you make it gay rights when you obviously are leaning towards that side of the fence anyway.

It's really very simple. Gays want the same rights as straights. In many places in this country, those rights are denied to gays and lesbians.
