Haha yeah judging from those TMZ pics....no one knew who he was? Riiiight.
A lot of you are missing the point here. Its not about bashing a Steeler player for be ACCUSED of sexual assault. Its about dumbass women thinking they can act whorish and they get a nice check out of it. Its absolute bullshit and it really pisses me off. I had to make a sworn statement for a friend who was accused of rape. And I know for 100% fact that the female wanted it and asked for it.
To be fair, we don't know what the motive is. You can't really say it's a money grab until a civil suit is filed, which we wouldn't know for months.
My issue is this: It seems the alleged assault occurred from 2-2:30 in various parts of the bar. That doesn't add up. She clearly had the ability to remove herself from this situation, yet didn't. One incident I could understand, but how do you explain multiple instances - not to mention the part about being together in the ladies room? That's some degree of consent or allowing fooling around, mixed signals at best. If you're groping on each other and he goes a little too far, I don't think that's assault if you stop him and he stops. Miles apart from some perv's unsolicited fondling of a girl.
Just saying if Ben made an unwelcomed grab I could see that as assault (not that those types of things ever really get reported, girls usually laugh it off to what a creep that guy was). But she kept coming back, so I'm inclined to think there was some sort of intimacy that was acceptable and allowed, and at that point it's difficult to say exactly how you assault someone as opposed to simply going too far or misreading signals. I mean, there's either a discrete act uninvited and unwelcomed that was assault or there wasn't. I fail to see how it's possible to sexually assault this woman several times over the course of 30 minutes around different parts of the bar. The very first (possibly second) time it happened, she would have stopped it and removed herself from the situation and made a complaint.
Sounds to me like he had the green light to go to 2nd, but then she put the brakes on when he tried going to 3rd. I don't see or understand that as assault. If it were, it would have occurred at, say, the bathroom at 2:25 not 2-2:30 at various parts of the bar.
