Growing up, I've always liked "Looking for Alaska". It's a great book fiction for high schoolers and young adults. I also liked "Beyond Belief" by Josh Hamilton and right now I'm reading Tony Dungy's "Quiet Strength".

For pure fiction, I'd have to say any Anne Rice (including all alias's) or Jane Austen book.
For *non-fiction, it's hard to say, I have so many. Between my stepfather and myself, we've probably got close to a 1,000 books - of all varieties. Then, I'd have to break it down into different topics such as *religion, histories of all kinds, biography/autobiographies, etc.

I'm a history/ policy nerd, so my favorite books involve that subject:
From Beirut to Jerusalem-Thomas Friedman
The Art of War-Sun Zu
American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer-Kai Bird and Martin Sherman
and various books on nuclear weapons/ intelligence and proliferation.

I'm currently reading "The Great Shark Hunt" it's good but "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" is a better read.
I just finished "In Cold Blood" which I loved. I like Capote's style.

I really like the Zach Chasteen series by Bob Morris. Also like the Harry Potter series, the Stone Barrington novels, and a local Warren, Ohio author that wrote the book Prosecuted Innocence.
