U2- Stay (Faraway, so close). I'm not a big U2 fan, but love this song, yet I've hardly ever heard it on the radio.

I second anything by UFO and many Thin Lizzy songs like the above mentioned Cowboy Song, Black Rose, Whiskey in the Jar, etc. (the only one's you ever hear are Jailbreak and Boys are Back in Town)
Spooky Tooth- Evil Woman
John Fogerty- Old Man Down the Road
...these come to mind immediately

Any of Lindsey Buckingham's stuff off of (Fleetwood Mac album) "Tusk"

Other than the title track, of course. He had some clutch work on that record.

I also don't listen to the radio much, but I feel like from what I know just based off of popularity, Lindsey's stuff within FM is the least popular (Outside of like "Big Love" and "Go Your Own Way")...the Tusk stuff, I truly do understand, because a lot of that stuff is just odd (although I LOVE it).....but the man is a pop music Genius.

For my biased opinion's worth, if you're talking American pop geniuses, it's Brian Wilson, Phil Spector, Lindsey Buckingham, and then everyone else.

Lynyrd Skynyrd-On The Hunt- One of their better songs but never gets any play.
Reo Speedwagon- Back on the Road Again-The bass player Bruce Halls sings it and it has a great Gary Richrath solo in it.

Just about anything by Dave Matthews that you don't hear on the radio--people hate him because they think Crash is all he's got.

I'm pretty shocked that Citizen Cope never got more popular, to be honest. I think, at worst, his stuff is radio friendly, and best, it's downright infectious, at least some of it.

I run into people that have no clue about his music, but always dig it when I put them on to it.

Pink Floyd- All of Animals (Too long for radio), Same with Shine on you Crazy Diamond

The Beatles- Happiness is a Warm Gun

The Killers- Read My Mind (their best song IMO)

Todd Rundgren & Utopia... The only song classic rock stations play is bang the drum... drives me frickin crazy. He has an incredible collection (very diverse) of music that is sadly ignored.

Look up "Lysistrata" a great tune about the women of Greece banding together and not "giving it up" until the boys stop going to war.

The entire Adventures in utopia album is pretty good stuff.

I like DMB, although I'm not a huge fan, and at the concert I went to in Piedmont Park in Atlanta there was over 50,000 fans. I think people don't like DMB because they feel his music is trendy, which it kind of is, but nonetheless it is good music and they are super talented.
