Thursday 29th 8:00am Brunswick Plantation , 2:00pm Crows Creek
Friday 30th 8:00am Aberdeen CC, 2:00pm Longbay

I've played them all except Island Green, Woodland Valley CC, and Aberdeen CC

I forgot to mention we stay at Barefoot Resort during the week, that's why we play 2 of their courses.

...Very nice zwick. I like the idea of catching Tobacco Road on the way down to MB....fun golf course.

I played Island Green years ago & it wasn't very good due to getting crab grass in their greens & it wasn't worth the money, but the layout was pretty good.

Tobacco Road is one of my all time favorite courses. If you ever get a chance Tot Hill Farm is about an hour outside of Pinehurst and another one of my top courses

We do this thru my aunt's boss. He sets it all up. Barefoot is usually up at the Cleveland Golf show. Hell they were offering a 3 night, 4 round for 220 up there. U can't beat that for the Barefoot courses.

Plus, I don't imagine you'll get as good of a rate if you're not bringing a lot of golfers.. I forgot to mention that 28 of us go down.

^^my next question, lol.

My dad takes an annual trip to Myrtle with a few of his buddies. I've been trying to get in on the trip. Figure it's going to run near $900 or so. He doesn't take nearly as many people as your trip, and I don't think a bunch of 60 year olds can handle 288 holes of golf in eight days. I'm EXTREMELY jealous man...have fun!

It's not too rough.. we scramble the 2nd 18 with the foursome you brought. We have some older guys that go down who couldn't handle two 18's on their own in the heat. The 2nd 18 seems to go pretty fast when you're scrambling.

Good point, never really thought about playing a scramble. I don't mind playing scrambles with decent players because it makes for a great team. I played in a scramble for an area high school team last season, and one of the teams bought 14 mulligans . Our foursome came in at 9 under, the winning team was -17 or so. But they had all those mulligans. Lame.

What kind of bets do you guys play? I know my dad's golf buddies bet all the time but I've never bet on golf in my life. I wouldn't know where to start.

as far as side bets? We play certain games for money but you usually get in side bets. Usually figure out how many strokes you're giving/taking and on what holes and 5 or 10 bucks a hole. On the scramble you bet team vs team.
I won't bet someone unless I only have to give a stroke or 2... preferably none.

...As much as I love Myrtle, Pinehurst is now my favorite golf destination. I agree Tot Hill is a nice place to play on the final day so atleast your heading back North and get a hour jump on your travel. The golf, the weather, the food makes Pinehurst the place for me.

Agree 100% and they have great packages. Have done trips to Myrtle and Orlando and neither compare course wise in my opinion.

Yea side bets. I don't really bet on shots, mainly because I'm always stuck playin with guys who've never played or get paired with people I don't know. Not that I'm complaining...because I know I'd lose my fair share of money haha.
