After the game and in the handshake line. Not exactly sure what it was about.

Interesting video. If an east coast coach had said something like that, it would have been plastered all over ESPN. Sometimes it is good not be be a prime time team.

In Alford's defense, you can't really tell what prompted him to say that. Maybe the player was being an asshole. But still, as the coach of the program, you can't do that.

Are you buying this????? I can't.

"Tav was great. He made a point of coming to our locker room and he apologized," Alford said, according to the Deseret News. "It was senior night, it was hard. You're talking about a person who has won more games than anybody in the history of BYU basketball. That's why I went to him to tell him how grateful I was to coach against him because he's a terrific player. That's hard, to lose your last home game. I know how hard that is and you can understand it."

The player at the end threw and elbow then the UNM players started to celebrate. Alford went directly over to him to tell him good game and the player thought he was going to talk to him about the elbow. They got caught up in the heat of the moment. Alford is not what I would call the greatest human being...but this isnt that big of a deal.
