Let’s go Spartans!

With a Purdue loss, that gives the Buckeyes a chance for at least a share of the Big Ten title. Coverage begins 4:00pm on CBS.

Losing Hummell at home almost makes this a toss-up, should be a good game. Hope Izzo and his crew can pull it off.

Purdue is -4...for a betting man that means MSU is the underdog! :D:D

Losing Hummell is big, no doubt. But people seem to forget, they played last year without Hummell quite a bit when he had back problems. He was also injured early in the Minn game, they went on to win. So its not like this is a huge adjustment for Purdue. Grant is the x-factor, and he has been playing very well lately and hit some big time shots vs Minn and OSU. They will miss Hummell...but maybe not as much as many people think.
That being said, GO MSU! ;)

True...understand my mind is grasping at every viable intangible that puts the Bucks in the driver's seat heading into the Big10 tourney, allow me a little homer fan license...;)

Difference between him nt playing lazy year or Minnesota game us that msu had a whole week to prepare, while purdue has to change a few things and have the distraction of having to answer questions about a player being hurt. I think purdue starts out fast but msu wears them down.

I think they will be fine without Hummel the rest of this B10 season. But not in the post-season, I think it bites them then.

Also, while Purdue DID beat Minny....they were up like 16 with him in the game (Im not sure exactly) but they did blow a double digit lead when he went down.

Grant has been terrible the entire year, but when they needed him (vs Minny) he stepped up. He knows he has to help the team now and did that vs Minny, we will see what he can do now that he has had time to think about his importance vs being thrust into it mid-game. The pressure may get to him, but I think he plays well.

Ultimately I am with you on the importance of Hummel to Purdue for the immediate future, but long-term (IE, the tourney's) he will be missed badly.

Wow! Moore's 3-point shot goes in-and-out, then Michigan State hits a 3. Two huge possessions.
