New Jersey won 104-96 in Boston today...

Is this the straw that broke the camels back? I mean, I know it's a regular season game, but my goodness, losing to the Nets? Their 3rd road win of the SEASON comes in Boston...

Even w/o Paul Pierce, that is no excuse..

Can you say old and battered? The Celtics are finished. Garnett is a shell of the former player he was.

Seeing a certain poster on here makes me wonder, could Boston cancel the contract with New Jersey, and just quit playing them in the future?

Once LeBron signs with the Nets this will happen more frequently

Like many Cavs fans say, it's just one game. Pierce was out and NJ finally played up to their potential as a team. Bad game by the Celtics. Doesn't really mean much.

Wasn't able to watch this online since I was at the Buckeyes game. NO WAY should this team lose at home to the Nets.... But the one glaring stat if it were ANY other team most causal NBA fans would look at and say "yeah something doesn't seem right" and that came from the FT line.... Nets 34-41 Boston 9-11 AT HOME ... yeah that seams a little even to me...... and YES I'm complaining as would probably any fan of their favorite team would in that situation.

I cannot get over how far KG's game has dropped this year.

How long do they have the big 3 under contract?

So you didn't watch the game but you're complaining about the officials? Makes sense. There are missed calls in every game. But sometimes, a team just earns that many more FT's than another team. I didn't watch it, so I don't know.

The Celtics were about a 5 to 1 favorite to win today. They were upset. A big upset indeed. But no bigger than the Magic's huge series win over the Cavs last year in the playoffs.

In sports, shift happens.

Some people will now claim the Nets are better than the Celts.

This is Ray's last year and KG & Pierce have next year still... Boston MAY re-sign Ray, BUT I don't see them re-signing KG after next year and it sucks b/c I LOVE KG's heart and what he brings to a team still 15pts 8rbs a game (he had 26 today)... But Pierce if he don't retire a member of the Celtics then that would just suck! He will reach #2 on the Boston Celtics All-Time leading scorers list sometime next year. And is one of the top 10 POSSIBLY top 5 if he can get another title.

Boston certainly looks like they are in trouble, but I need some more time before I declare them dead. Let's see what they do in the playoffs. Part of me thinks they are biding their time for that. If I am Doc I start giving KG some rest (nights off). It doesn't look like he has much left

Boston is just experiencing old age. I really don't see them as a threat to the Cavs. I'm much more concerned of the Magic.
