Big bummer for the Colts. Good win for IC though. Congrats. I think the Colts knocked them out of the sectionals last year when IC was undefeated. Revenge indeed.

Not sure about the revenge factor, but Creek is playing their best ball of the year. I would also like to say that number 3 for the Colts has one hell of a shot. Congrats to her on a great career.

Districts @ Dresden Tri-Valley:
Wintersville Indian Creek vs. Minerva
Cambridge vs. West Holmes
Should be two very good games. I'm going to go out on a limb and pick Minerva and West Holmes. Just a hunch.

Yea, I didn't figure you would pick Indian Creek after they beat your beloved big red.

My pick of Minerva has nothing to do with the fact that IC has beaten both Steubenville and Meadowbrook. My thought process involved the fact that Minerva has good quickness (to match IC, which Meadowbrook did not), but they have a 6'3" girl inside who could give the Lady Redskins fits, just like the Lady Colts did in 2009 with their size.
But IC is a year older and a year better. It should be a great game. Best of luck to all four teams in this District. However, I am pulling for the Lady Bobcats of Cambridge, since they are from my adopted hometown.

I don't know much about Minerva, but I will say that if Creek is firing on all cylinders, they will be hard to stop... I just hope that no matter the outcome, The IC girls give everything they have and leave it all on the court. They are a very impressive group of young women.ferflog wrote: Capone:

With that being said, I am wondering if the Head Coach at Muskingum has stopped drooling yet. I know its D3, but they story I got was that coach wanted ALL of the girls to play there

No need to worry about this group of young ladies, they will definitely leave it all on the court. There is no quit in them.
I have heard about Muskingum wanting all four senior starters from families of the girls involved and believe it to be true, but there is competition. Waynesburg was represented at the Meadowbrook game. He talked to at least a couple of the girls and/or families after the game was over. There were probably others also.

I would like to see a few DII scouts find their way to a few games... At least they can give athletic scholarships.BuckCreek wrote: No need to worry about this group of young ladies, they will definitely leave it all on the court. There is no quit in them.

You guys may be reaching a bit far here. IC beat Meadowbrook, not UConn.

The Muskingum coach has been to at least the last 7 or 8 games and I have talked to her and yes she wants all of them.

Minerva 58 Indian Creek 42
It was never a game. As I predicted, the big girl from Minerva was too much. She had 29. And the guards from Minerva certainly matched Indian Creek's guards' quickness.........and then some. Minerva was up 20+ late and cleared the bench to make the final score look respectable.
Congratulations to the Lady Redskins on a fine season and best of luck to Minerva against Cambridge or West Holmes.

I'll hand it to ya ferflog. Nice call. Creek over the last few years always struggled with the big bodies.

The big girls was impressive, but I would have to say it was Minerva's guard play that set the tone. That is one very good team and the scary thing is that they are young. Good luck to the Lions and GREAT YEAR REDSKINS!!!

Now I'm curious who you got in the West Holmes vs Minerva matchup? I have to go with Minerva just because their guard play is so good and the big under the bucket helps out alot.
