His latest album is fantastically produced (Rick Rubin), and is a good closer (hopefully...) on the American Series.
Easily one of my top....probably 10....artists spanning any genre. And, not to quote High Fidelity. But, my favorite book of all time is Cash. By Johnny Cash.

One of my all time favorite performers. An American music legend.

No doubt the Man in Black was a true American music legend.
One of my faves..
By the way, I'm about to listen to American VI here in a bit.. Definitely will speak my opinions about it.

I never had money in the summers to see him. It seems as though he was always comming in June.

^^ Haha!
Johnny Cash, one of a kind. Also, one cannot think of country/folk music without his name coming to mind. He placed a pretty high bar that most country singers to this day cannot reach with a ladder.

He was kind of a friend of my uncle through the Carter family. My uncle has a record collection of over 10,000 records pre-1960. The Carter's used to hire him to find orig. press records of shows they did and such. Through that he met Johnny Cash. My parents' have a pic of me and my sister sitting on a floor watching Johnny play the guitar. I am maybe 1 1/2 so my sister would have been like 11.
