I wonder if this new contract has any clause for him leaving to take a head coaching job. If he truly loves what he is doing then maybe he will stick with it. A lot less stressful than coaching that's for sure.

Im glad as I love him in the booth. However, Im sad as now he wont be a candidate for my teams (ok, thats a lie, it wont stop people from going after him).

Actually, I kind of miss him on the sidelines. I really think he is a good coach who needs to be leading a team again soon. Does his new contract allow him to leave if a new head coaching job is offered or does he have to stay to fullfill his contracted obligation.

I like him in the booth.

If he's going to coach again I think he should go to the college ranks. I think he'd be a better college coach.

He does a good job in the booth.

His name has been going around for a long time at Notre Dame if Charlie Weis gets the pink slip.

If he wants to coach and has a chance this contract might as well be used to wipe someone's ass because it's worthless.

Maybe he's enjoying his time away from coaching and wants to enjoy it for another year. The guy is still pretty young, so why not take 3-4 years off before recommitting himself.

Although I do feel like the next coach at Notre Dame will be either Kelly or Gruden.

They way he was berating the Browns last night, I would love to have him as our coach.
