"His intelligence level is as high as any quarterback I've encountered coming out of college," Trestman said. "His intelligence is off the charts. After spending time with Tim, it was evident that he learned a lot of football in his four years at Florida -- a lot.
"As a result he has been able to quickly adapt and make corrections in his throwing motion and footwork that will allow him to get the ball out faster and improve his accuracy. He has more than enough arm strength and shown he can make all the throws at the next level. He has only been at it for a few weeks so I can only anticipate he will continue to improve."

When I first read this title, I thought Tim Tebow was already delivering pizzas.

If its so great, why has he chosen NOT to throw at the combine? Why didn't a great college coach like Meyer teach him the proper fundementals...that one I scratch my head about??

My guess is that throwing at UF's pro-day gives him more time to refine this new technique.centralbucksfan wrote: If its so great, why has he chosen NOT to throw at the combine? Why didn't a great college coach like Meyer teach him the proper fundementals...that one I scratch my head about??

To your last question. Urban Meyer is in the business of winning college football games. Why fix something that isn't broken? He already completed 67% of his passes, 88 TD's and 15 INT's. When you throw 5 to 1 TD to INT ratio then you don't risk messing that up to make him a better pro prospect when it doesn't do the UF any good to change him.

Pretty sure whoever drafts him will want their QB coach to tweak it to their liking. Its a little too late. Why do it now if they told him it sucked last year when he thought about the draft.

And I too have something new... a skid mark in my boxers from eating Chili's. Tim Tebow is about to have a new reputation... an NFL bust.

Obviously just wants more time to "perfect" his new throwing motion. As a pirates fan I've seen numerous pitchers ruined by mechanical adjustments so I'm skeptical that this will work at all. I think the only way Tebow succeeds is if he sits for his first couple of years.

You're right, Urban doesn't care about his players, just winning football games. Also why he's so stressed, he's starting to feel guilty.mucalum49 wrote:My guess is that throwing at UF's pro-day gives him more time to refine this new technique.centralbucksfan wrote: If its so great, why has he chosen NOT to throw at the combine? Don't really see him being a bust when no one expects him to do much....which he won't.jpake1 wrote: And I too have something new... a skid mark in my boxers from eating Chili's. Tim Tebow is about to have a new reputation... an NFL bust.

If you don't do much in the NFL, yeah I consider you a bust. It doesn't matter if you're 1st round or 3rd. I just make fun of a person if they were drafted higher. Considering he's almost a God, and even if he gets drafted in the top 3 rounds, he'll be considered a bust in the NFL by my standards.

Because he is smart. At Florida;s pro day he will be throwing to WR's he is familiar with.If its so great, why has he chosen NOT to throw at the combine?

urban was concerned with winning not developing Tebow. JT seems to be doing the same thing with TP after 1+ years of trying to develop him didn't translate to a great result.

Very true. The same reason you won't be seeing Bradford, Clausen (although he has a toe issue), LeFevour, and probably McCoy.Prescott wrote:Because he is smart. At Florida;s pro day he will be throwing to WR's he is familiar with.If its so great, why has he chosen NOT to throw at the combine?

Did someone on here really say that they "make fun of" someone who GETS DRAFTED INTO THE NFL?! So someone who has more athletic skill than all of us on here combined gets made fun of for maybe not living up to a draft round expectation?
Thats funny.

Oh no! I can't sit back and crack a joke on him if he doesn't amount to much in the NFL after being called the greatest college football player ever, all because he's a better football player than me? That sure is a bummer.

Saw the clips, he looks pretty good. He's always had arm strength and accuracy, just a slow delivery. If he really can quicken it up, I think he can be successful in the NFL.

You guys are funny; acting like you've never made fun of a pro athlete before. He's a great guy, I'll just get a laugh when he and his obsessed fans come back down to reality. I'll actually be laughing more at the fans that tried to builed him up to be more than he is. I should have stated that in my first post, so for that, my apologies.

Arm strength and accuracy are also considered to be his weaknesses in terms of NFL caliber. It does look smoother, so kudos to him for putting in the work.lhslep134 wrote: Saw the clips, he looks pretty good. He's always had arm strength and accuracy, just a slow delivery. good question. I guess he was good enough to dominate in college football the past 4 years. I guess Tressel needs more time to change Pryor's god awful throwing motion, right?ccrunner609 wrote:centralbucksfan wrote: If its so great, why has he chosen NOT to throw at the combine? THought that also, Meyer must not of either had the knowledge to train him properly or really didnt give a shit because he knows he is a gimmick/system QB that will never throw the pill in the NFL
Meyer was a good enough coach to win 2 National Championships in his first 5 years at Florida, absolutely hammering favored Ohio State.
