Just about two weeks now untill the return of Varg Vikerness with the new Burzum album "Belus". I've heard some snippets of the album and I think all of us metalheads are in for a treat!

Also anyone heading down to the scion festival to see Cannibal Corpse, Voivod, 3 inches of blood and Shrinebuilder.

I know that myself and Tcarrier32 both got our conformation emails for the scion thing. Who could pass up a free concert? I also saw that the latest Messugah (spelling?) CD was recently released.

Also, stoked that in June, Entombed is rolling through Cleveland with a band I'm stoked to see, MERAUDER, who never tour. Hoping All Out War and Ringeorm jump on the Clevo date too

soooo who all made it to Scion Fest. i had a pretty good time. got to chill with friends, see some good bands, had an awesome teriyaki chicken gyro.

mainly traveled between skully's and circus bar as they both offered the most i wanted to see.

bands i saw

BLACK TUSK @ skully's- loved their set, dudes beard was epic.
STRUCK BY LIGHTING @ skullys- one of the best bands in columbus right now, check them out if you havnt.
SAVIOURS @ circus bar - best band i saw that i had never heard of, really wish that southwest airlines didnt cause the vocalist to get in town late thus cutting their set short.
TRAP THEM @ circus bar - one of the bands i was most looking forward to seeing, set was pure insanity, stage dives from everywhere, kids goin nuts in the crowd.
PELICAN @ skullys - probably the band i was most interested in seeing. 40 or so minutes of just awesome music.
teriyaki chicken gyro @ food cart guy outside skullys - hit the spot, hadnt eaten in like 12 hours
VOIVOD @ newport - drove down to the newport to hang out with some friends and wait for Cannibal Corpse to play. not a huge fan of this band they were basically background noise to convo's in the lobby
CANNIBAL CORPSE @ newport - i love the music, dont like the vocals and the cheesey crap in between songs and what the songs are about

Anyone metalhead on Facebook should be a fan of the metal label Nuclear Blast. A few days back (I'd assume you could find it on their page) they gave a link you could click on to freely download an 11-song sampler with some good shit by Hypocrisy, Arsis, Exodus, Eluvietie (sp), Nile, Epica, etc.
