First we have done some reading and rose petals should not be harmful for the cat and or humans to consume. Now that said, this cat loses her damn mind when you bring roses around. Of course with last week being valentine's there are 2 dozen roses in the dining room (still holding up strong too) anyway, as soon as they came through the door the cat went nuts. Meowing, begging, running around. If you are near the follows she will meow until you feed her one. It is quite cute and easy entertainment!!

I've never heard of a cat going nuts for roses before.
My cats are always wanting to get into my Wandering Jew, to the point where I had to hang it from the ceiling, as they are very toxic plants for animals.

You have to be very careful with pets and having plants/flowers around. Some can be quite toxic.
Lillies, for example, are deadly to cats. All varieties.
As for anyone wishing a pet dead -- grow up.

We did some research on the different types of flowers, correct lillies are very toxic. Everything we have seen/read is that roses are 100% edible for pets/humans, all colors. The cat is just funny when there are roses around!!
