Like him or hate him? I have listened to him for a few years, read a couple of his books, and occasionally watch his TV show.

Books:
"An Inconvenient Book" - Read
"Arguing with Idiots" - Getting ready to read

I like what he brings. You?

I think his expose on the American healthcare system while he was on CNN and dealing with his butthurt, and then his later 180? on his views of the system when he went to Fox News are all one needs to see to know he is a snake. He says what the highest bidder wants.

I don't care for him.

BUT. I think that has alot to do with his dramatics. I watched a whole show of his one time, and was so distracted by all the drama, that I honestly couldn't tell you what the show was about.
So, essentially for me, it's about delivery as much as content. I just can't take all the dramatics seriously.
If he changed the way he acts, I might think him coherent enough to pay attention to.

I agree w/ some of his points and I like the fact that he will rip both conservatives and liberals when he thinks they're in the wrong....He does have some good ideas I think he genuinely cares about the state of America and his good qualities come through in his books (well, I've only read parts of one) far more than the few times I've seen him on TV.

I agree, that he's comes off as 'way out there' on television and radio, and I he gets on my nerves too much for me to take him seriously.....Overall, I think he knows who signs his checks and plays off that on TV.

I like Beck...he's the wacky uncle that makes Thanksgiving less boring. ;)

Plus, it's fun to watch the liberals froth at the mouth every time his name comes up.

Hes an absolute moron. Its quite sad that the filth he spews is considered "news."

It's quite sad, that regardless of what he "spews" out of his mouth, the government tries to limit his freedom of speech, or the channels on which he (among others) speaks.

I used to listen to him a lot when he was on Talk FM in Columbus but havent really paid much attention to him since then.

I thought he was entertaining and understood that he wasn't reporting the news, he was just giving his opinion and give people a different side of the story than you will get from the "Real News"

He has good points, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut.

Overall, he just plays up the drama, takes the worst case scenario, makes things very black and white-when the world is gray, and is actually annoying.

I know it is entertainment, but he can really tone down the emotion and still get his point across. Most of the time, it is too much.

Who considers anything he spews 'news'? If you do, then I have to assume you get your news from other similar outlets as well, like The View, Oprah, and Keith Olbermann's show.

Yeah, not really sure who considers this news. Not sure anybody even claims that Glenn Beck's show is news!

Listen everyday while on the road. Enjoy his schtick, but how he gets the left riled up is even better. What he did to Acorn was frickin' hilarious. Exposed the underbelly of a horrible organization.

I've always kinda thought it funny to read/see/hear people who "claim" to despise him, know more about him than I do - and I've watched less than 2 whole shows of him. (maybe 1hr.20min.)
They know everything that comes out of his mouth just as much as his regular watchers.

Funny, isn't it?

I have read all of his books (The Real America:Message from the Heartland, An Inconvenient Book, Common Sense, plus a novel he wrote called The Christmas Sweater) and am looking forward to his new one: Arguing with Idiots.

I listen to him as often as I can, and absolutely love the section of his show called "More-on Trivia"

I really don't like him at all, but Beck does bring up good points. He has absolutely destroyed the Obama administration with their own words. That is why he is so hated by the left right now. Take his show tonight on Obama and the SEIU thugs and you'll get a reaction from the President.

Yes I admit it I watch and listen to Glenn Beck. Some of where he goes is over the top. But some of it is down right scary. What I find scary is the fact that he asks the White House to tell him he is wrong. You would think that if he really is wrong and what he is saying about people such as Cass Sustien, Anita Dunn, Obama himself where not true. They would have had him off the air along time ago. I don't know about you but when I see Obama say ON TAPE in his own words saying "Before I make any decisions on health care. I talk to Andy Stern and SEIU." And then you find out that Andy Stern the president of SEIU has been the most frequent person to visit the White House since Obama took office. And knowing that SEIU and ACORN share offices and resources in many cities across the country. I wonder who is really running this country. And more importantly who is writing these bills that our congressmen are not even reading before they are voting for them. These congressmen are not writing 1909 page bills, and if you think they are I have land in Florida I will sell ya.

So back to the Beck thing even if you hate him. I would challenge you to watch him for a week. Or listen to him for a week. Then after that week come back here and tell me he is full of it and so am I.

Love Glenn Beck's radio show. It's especially entertaining how well he's able to get under the skin of liberals.

My gma loves Glenn so I try to spend some quality time with her about once a week and we always just sit and watch Glenn. I pretend like I like him for her sake but I really don't care much for him. He's Howard Beale in the flesh...and the worst part is that he has accepted that veil with open arms. Hence, he basically has compared himself to someone who was mentally ill and thought he was prophet but yet was the lead anchor on a news channel because he generated great ratings.

There are plenty of brilliant rational people out there who are against big government that Fox could hire to be a news commentator...if it was really about news and the public good...but, like all news stations competing with entertainment nowadays, they've got shareholders to please and market share to gain. Thus, the rotting of news every where for ratings just as Mr. Chayefsky told us it would back in the 70's.

Since we have to cite our claims: Here's a link to Beck comparing himself to Beale;

I like him for what he believes in. I definitely think he is over dramatic but I respect him for standing up against the current administration.
