Who annually buys an Entertainment book? I do and save quite a bit of money. You gotta keep it in your car with you and periodically go through it. It does pay off though.

Do you really save money or do you simply spend it somewhere else?

It's a book of coupons for restaurants and/or businesses that generally offer a buy one get one free deal or a percentage off deal.

I had the Toledo version when I lived there and there were definitely some great coupons in there. I think my roommates and I used every single pizza, bowling and golf one.

It easily pays for itself after 4-5 uses. And yes, it really saves money because no, i do nto simply spend it somewhere else. They are places I naturally frequent.

Maybe I was confusing. Where's the money you saved? I find people tend to simply spend it elswhere.
Clearly by paying less you got a better value but did you save the money?

For instance, if you were going to go out to dinner ANYWAY on a Friday night. Instead of paying for 2 meals you grab your coupon out of the book and it's buy one meal get one free. Your going to go out to dinner anyway that particular night.

Right, it's a better value. Does it mean you saved money? What did you do with the money you saved?
